Over 13,000 years ago, near the Pearl River valley in China - a single domestication event occurred that spawned a trend in Asian cuisine.

After this single event millions of people would dine on what has been proven to be a staple in meals across Asia and the world.

If I were to establish a restaurant focused on such delicacies, this one single item would be a main stay on the menu.

If one so wished to explore the diverse cuisines of Asia, one would have a taste synonymous with remarkable flavours and vibrant colours.

Across plates you would find ingredients common to many cultures of the regions to include ginger, garlic, sesame seeds, chillies….All stir frying, steaming and deep frying as these delectable dishes were prepared.

If one we're wanting to dive in and enjoy such a delicacy, one thing is for certain. You would enjoy having fresh steamed rice as the glue holding your meal together.

You see rice is the oeuvre of the menu on nearly all Asian restaurants across the world.

Not having this item on your menu, would leave customers questioning your position in the category.

One time I can see it. Two times possibly. 6-7 times of not having these tasty starches available is beyond me.

If rice is important to your experience whilst consuming tasty Asian cuisine, you will want to call ahead. There is a great chance they have no rice.

For over 13,000 years, as that first grain was served - there has been enough seeming to serve consumers across the planet. That is however unless you are in St. George Utah.

There is a shortage that can't be managed with supply chain, diner analytics or extra preparation to serve meal time rushes.

My mouth is watering for some tasty proteins and carbs from the sign bearing a panda. So for now, I'm back in the car wondering if I just should have...

This Panda seems like an “off brand” of Panda Express. As if someone altered the recipes and slapped the Logo on their building. I’ve tried this location a handful of times, thinking they are new... so maybe they need some time to adjust. But every single time we have went, there is always something lame! They don’t give you the Teryaki sauce. Every. Single. Dang time. For some crazy reason. What the hay man, i need that to lather on my Terkyaki chicken. The Orange chicken is spicey and could pass as a different flavor. How could you mess up the best part of Panda. They don’t have pepsi at this location which is not cool cause i like that big tall pepsi with my orange chicken. And you are missing ragoons and pot stickers, what the what?? Who the heck owns this location? What’s the deal? Don’t go there hangry, It’s also every single time- busy or not in the drive thru you have to pull out and wait forever for your order. This Panda is a no go. Go to the red cliffs panda express it’s the best one in town so far. My review is honest and I love my panda man, I have been to a lot of different locations over the past 15 yrs but this location is a waste of my precious food...

My hubby picked us up Panda Express on his way home and when we opened it, the teriyaki chicken had no teriyaki on it or in the bag. Essentially just plain too dry chicken without it. I called to ask what I needed to do and the manager got my name and said come down right now with your receipt. I drove the 10 minutes there and waiting in the drive through and when I got there I explained we werent given a receipt so I showed a screenshot showing todays date and that we purchased. She then told me that in order to give me fresh chicken that isnt now an hour old an cold I needed to then drive home, get the chicken and bring it back. I wouldve brought it if I was told over the phone. I then asked if there was a store manager or corporate number to get some help and she told me to look it up and then slammed the drive through window door on me. I’m super frustrated, this is so unprofessional. I felt the whole time like they thought I was trying to scam them out of a small thing of Teriyaki Chicken. I had my screenshot, we spent wayyyy more than $4. That wasnt the intention to get free chicken. Just super...

I generally like going here, but the amount of food they gave us in the bowl was pretty pathetic. Our entree contained about 6 pieces of orange chicken (see photo)and limited rice. I saw a different server put about 3x as much in a different bowl, so it was my probably my server. I asked her to change it to a "plate" and so she added a few more pieces of chicken in a separate box... Haha. It makes a big difference who serves you. Food was good (as usual) just the portion control was whacked.

Two-item plate with black angus steak. $11.50 - there were **3** pieces of steak. Seriously, 3! Two-item plate with black angus steak & orange chicken- $10.25. - there were **2** pieces of steak and one of them was tiny. Orange chicken was great! The pic shows all the veggies, pretty good portions, just not any steak. Not sure if we’ll go back, if we do it won’t be for takeout and I wouldn’t order steak.
