I don’t know what has happened to Kneaders, but their food quality has consistently gone downhill since Covid. I have had several bad experiences at this Mall Drive location in particular. We decided to give them one last try today, and I promise that it will be the last time I ever come here. When we walked up to order, we were told that they were out of turkey, chicken salad, and cranberry spread. Mind you that it was only 4:30 on a Thursday, so not on a weekend and before the dinner rush. That eliminated about half of the options on their menu, but because we were hungry and there weren’t many other similar options in the area, we decided on the chicken pesto panini sandwiches. When our order was brought out, the sandwiches were cold and not toasted. I took them back up to the front, and asked if they could please put them on the panini press, since we ordered panini’s and wanted them hot. The girl up front seemed a little embarrassed and said “Did they not toast them?”, and then took the sandwiches back. When they returned the sandwiches a few minutes later, the boy bringing us our order said “Did they tell you that we are out of pesto spread?” Um, nope! I sighed and said “No, unfortunately they didn’t.” Even though the boy could tell that I was displeased, he just said “Sorry about that”, and scooted off as quickly as he could. No offer to comp us our meals, or at least one of the overpriced desserts that we bought. Without the sauce, the sandwiches were super dry and tasteless. My daughter’s sandwich was also very skimpy on the chicken, and mostly just bread. We spent about $35 between two people for 2 dry sandwiches, chips that were obviously from the bottom of the bag because they were tiny, and desserts that were likely from the day before, because they were also super dry. I will never come...
Read moreShowed up after putting in an order a 8 am for pickup at 12. I came in to see 4 customers waiting by the pickup area. Each one of these customers had been waiting for more than an hour. When one of the customers (Uber Eats driver) had the temerity to speak up one of the employees, a middle aged woman employee with dark hair challenged this lady. When the customer said that multiple people had ordered, paid, received, and eaten their food while these 4 customers were still waiting. Instead of apologizing, like any other restaurant this employee became what I would call combative.
When the Uber Eats driver said she was waiting an hour for a sandwich and a water the employee went, grabbed MY ticket and tried to tell the lady that she was lying and that she had 3 sandwiches and a kids meal(My order). Accusing a customer of lying is not a good look in the service industry.
The best part about this story is that I received my food after only 38 minutes of waiting after this location had 4 hours to prepare my order. 15 of those 38 minutes were waiting by the cash register for an employee to talk to me. The rest of the customers I was waiting with (each one had been there farrrr before me) got to watch me receive my food and walk out the door. This I believe was done to upset the lady who actually spoke up. Not only accusing the Uber Eats driver of lying but, I would say intentionally giving me my food infront of her to piss her off.
I never go to this location because each time I do a somewhat similar situation happens. They have been training a "new cook" and been "understaffed" for the past year.
If you want Kneaders just go to the one on bluff street. The line you wait in will be longer but the amount of time it will take to get your food will be...
Read moreI don't normally feel the need to write reviews, but, today's experience, was warranted. I stopped at this drive-in location and immediately was followed by 3 vehicles by the time I got to the drive-up menu board. It was 12:05p and I ordered a half turkey, bacon, avacado and was told they were out of turkey. I then ordered a tuna melt and again, was told they were out of tuna. After re-reading the menu, I then ordered a chicken salad sandwich on a croissant. I also ordered a bowl of cheddar broccoli soup. I followed 4 cars to the window to be told that they had not yet made the chicken salad yet, so they were out. Now, that surely looked to me that 3/4's of their menu was not available? I reluctantly, ordered a chicken sandwich with lettuce, tomato and mayo. My bill was $21.00 and when I got back to my office, there was less than 1/4 cup of chicken on the croissant. The chicken that I found were small cubes. Probably the cubes that should have been used for the chicken salad recipe. There were bites of my sandwich that had zero chicken in them. This type of food service is unacceptable! Two months ago I was at this same exact location and my wife ordered a TBA. They could not make this sandwich because they were out of avacados? This location is in a Smith's parking lot who sells avacado's. What is wrong with this management? This is absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced in 65 years of life. I will never return nor will I ever recommend this restaurant, even to my worst enemy. Kneaders, you have lost my business and my businesses business for life and I will never suggest that anyone darkens your doorsteps ever again. ...
