The food was quite good and we had plenty to eat. I will eat the delicious food again but it will be as a take out order. Wwe also had great service at the counter, however, this establishment does not enforce the masks required and doesn't seem to understand that the table include the chairs when spacing out the dining room area. The whole point is that PEOPLE are 6 ft apart. My impression is that so many Businesses are more afraid of losing business by asking people to mask up than protecting the customers that have already purchased something and who are for one reason or another eating at or needing to eat at a table. They also did not have their tables, which includes the chairs, spaced out or blocked off to make sure the PEOPLE are 6 ft apart, not just the table itself. In my visit to this restaurant It's the customers who come in the restaurant, a group of over 6 people all without masks on that made no attempt at making sure their tables, including their chairs were 6 ft apart from us. It was I who got up and ended up moving our table further away from them. They had 2 tables that they moved together to make 1 long table. It's may be that the tables are 6 ft apart however once you put chairs at both tables the chairs are about 2 feet apart so the PEOPLE are only 2 ft apart not 6 ft. So it was at this time the group could have made sure that the table set, which includes the chairs were the correct distance apart, but the group that moved the tables didn't not make sure there was enough distance but again it was I who had to move our table farther away from them. In all fairness it comes down to the restaurant's responsibility to give the customers guidance to where they should be sitting, having the tables in the correct place or having the select tables blocked off all to ensure that in their establishment, while we, the customers, having our masks off to eat, that we can be...
Read moreI had never been here before and I wanted to try it out since I heard good things. I went to grab some food and I got the burrito with fries (#21)and that’s all that it says. The women then asked me what meat I wanted and I said carne asada, the food then came out and I took a bite and it was full of guacamole and onions and tomatoes and just the meat. If it would’ve said on the menu that it came with guacamole and onions I would’ve said no onions and guacamole, but it didn’t say anything on the menu about it. Usually a burrito comes with beans and cheese and the meat so I was super confused why the women who took my order didn’t say anything about it. I then had my boyfriend go up and ask them if they could remake it, I had only taken one bite. The women who took my order then said no you’ll have to pay for a whole other burrito. I work in the food industry and I have many people ask me to remake food and drinks all the time and I gladly do it because sometimes there are simple mistakes and unknown ingredients. I was just very dissatisfied as to why they couldn’t just remake the burrito for me especially since I had took one bite. If I had seen the ingredients on the menu I wouldn’t taken those ingredients off. It’s just very off putting as a person who works in customer service knows things like this happens offen. It just sucks that this was my first experience at this restaurant and it wasn’t a great experience at all. I’m sure the food is delicious but I feel like the experience is just as important as the food. Will not be coming again...
Read moreTop notch ethnic food, modest ambiance. I've patronized Sanchez many times, and this is my go-to place in Saint George for menudo (in my opinion, it has no competition in town). There are many other offerings with ethnic Mexican flavor, and some maybe just a little more in the Tex-Mex tradition. This small restaurant provides a clean, no nonsense fast-food ambiance (no service at the table) with efficiency in mind, rather than elegance. The decor is comparable to a run-of-the-mill hygienic and utilitarian corporate cafeteria. The salsa bar is OK; I miss the whole-pepper roasted jalapeno, but that's just me. Servings are generous and nobody will be hungry afterwards. As an observation, this place is just across a small parking lot from a Taco Bell franchise, and both seem to prosper. To each their own, I'd say: Taco Bell's clientele is different. If you bring a guest, make sure that food quality is the main priority for both of you. I cannot stop recommending the menudo and I hope it continues the way it is now (last visited early 2022, just before writing this). If you think of refried beans as a little benchmark for Mexican restaurants, Sanchez's are flavorful yet not overly rich, a little chunky (but not too much), and their consistency is moist and soft enough, but never, ever runny--which in my opinion is perfect. Your bill will straddle $10 per person...
