Subway — Restaurant in Saint George

Awful experience, the young man working was very rude. I was trying to use coupons I got sent in the mail. He tried 3 of them and none of them worked. I asked him why he was insinuating I had already used them and I was trying to use them again. After the 3rd one he realized it was the system. He stated he was going to give me a deal, with a free bag of chips. Then he changed it and acted like he didn't say that. And I was lying. When other customers heard him too. He didn't cut my foot long and sandwiches were made sloppy. One just had veggies in the middle like he was being funny, the 2nd had 1 piece of onion, 1 slice of tomato, 1 olive, etc. He was complaining about not having any help in the evening time. I couldn't believe his behavior and the way he prepared the footlongs. One we ended up tossing away. We didn't feel comfortable eating it with the way it was made and his rude behavior. If I would have had my phone with me I would have recorded everything. It says a lot about an establishment that I don't want to be giving my business to when the employee demonstrates behaviors of being irritated, rolling your eyes, smacking your gum, didn't answer questions my acquaintances had and asked if we couldn't see the menu and what did the menu say. We were trying to hurry and order because you kept rolling your eyes. It's my fault I wasn't paying attention to how my sandwich was made. I thought it would be fine with ordering exactly how the sandwich is made.I didn't know this location only uses plain white or wheat bread. Establishment is nice and clean. I’ve been coming to this Subway for a decent bit and I’ve never had an issue with anyone or anything. I also never write reviews. But today, I felt like it was necessary.

I’m not sure whoever the guy is at the front today, but he over shares and is super slow. We stood in line for about 10 or so minutes for two sandwiches when it was just two of us. He felt the need to tell his life story and his sexuality. He also felt the need to ridicule my likings and call me names.

He also didn’t wear any form of hairnet with his hair being super long. He kept saying he wasn’t feeling well and touching his face and hair and our food. I’m not sure if this guy is new and I don’t want anyone to get in trouble but it was completely unacceptable for how we were treated and how he handled our food.

He also felt the need to come up to us a few times at our table and talk to us while we were trying to eat. Again, it was very uncomfortable and really unsettling with the whole thing.

I do not feel it appropriate or anything this guy was saying or doing or handling this...

Ok - quest for the Holy Graal of Phillys in this here town you all. ... and thus had to try Subway for a baseline. Ok .. We all know the Subway Philly is generic (relatively speaking ) and not a true contender vs. a true PHILLY restaurant that specializes.... With that in mind - service here was great and friendly. We did our best to make a classic Philly, but obviously certain things are not available as the tradition goes. But overall the sandwich was enjoyable and unlike my last experience/review I was careful to not overload on the mayo. Yup - Subway ain't bad and of course good price point. Yeeeee Ha ! Gave extra star just for the friendly service... otherwise sandwich 3...
