Northern Lights Restaurant — Restaurant in Saint Ignace

I read over the reviews and was quite surprised. I have enjoyed this restaurant ever since first stopping in on a whim. Sure it isn't a posh, swank, urban joint. It is what it is, a humble, nautical themed Family Restaurant. The food, however, is why I come! I'd never had a pasty before. The servers have always been kind, funny and involved every time I have been there and I have never had to wait to be served. I always get the pot roast because it is AMAZING! It reminds me of my grandmothers food and she has since passed so it has been a Must Stop for us every time we go up north to vacation in Petoskey/Good Hart area. The pasty's are amazing too! The service was good. It stops there. The prices were ok but I felt over priced for what you get. I can't believe they serve canned green beans! My husband's seafood platter was some frozen seafood that was dropped in hot oil and they charged $20 for it! They have literally no vegetarian meals so I got spaghetti and asked them to hold the meat. The sauce was sweet and came out of a can. It was obvious that there is no chef here, but an amateur cook who can open cans...

I'm not sure what place this is but if it's that vegan restaurant I went to in Detroit then it was amazing! My moon and aunt got the sweet potatoe fries with that spicy dip and that was my favorite thing. I hope to find that around here.
