We were finally able to try this place out! We always noticed the lot was full early on & didn't realize they close by early afternoon (2:30pm). We stopped in close to noon (during off season) so it wasn't crazy busy, no wait. Friendly staff greeted us & seated us right away. The place is cute & clean! There were MANY choices on the menu that sounded amazing. The hubs opted for a classic style breakfast of eggs, bacon, potatoes & blueberry pancakes. I ordered their stuffed pancakes, it was their Farmers stuffed pancakes that had ham, cheese, potatoes and mushrooms. My brain kinda of thought of stuffed French toast, like the goods would be sandwiched between the pancakes... it's literally in the batter! It was good, just a surprise. And the pancakes are HUGE! Like 8 inch giants. They also have blueberry coffee, which is one of my absolute favorites! It's not the fake syrupy stuff either, it's legit blueberry & it is delicious. They also have specialty coffees & if you're a coffee snob, we find it's hard to find a decent cappuccino or macchiato anywhere in the area. Well, our waitress made a delicious caramel macchiato. It was so yummy that we decided this was going to be our quick coffee stop before the bridge when we leave, as they have a whole bakery/to-go area right up front. On the day we headed home, we made our stop. Same super friendly service as the first visit. We get our to-go treats (cinnamon roll & blueberry muffin) and order our coffees, one blueberry coffee and one caramel macchiato. It was quick & easy & off we go! The coffee was much too hot to try before leaving so we gave them a few miles after the bridge & hubby takes a drink of his macchiato & it's super sweet. Noting like he had the day before. I tried it as well & it was nothing but hot caramel & milk. My coffee was fine as it's their usual however, it's nothing they are able to control, but I ended up with a faulty paper cup that had a slow seep, lol. We dumped his drink out & slid my cup in for a catch all. We didn't try our treats until we got home, which may have been a good thing. The blueberry muffin was good but it was SO crumbly. If you tried to break a piece off, it just fell apart into crumbs everywhere. I didn't try the cinnamon roll myself but if my hubby didn't like a cinnamon roll, that's practically unheard of! He didn't care for it. He even warmed it up. Said it was too spongey. I took his word & didn't bother.

All in all, we'd definitely dine in again. All the food that came out of the kitchen looked delicious! Maybe needs some consistency with the specialty coffee stuff, or we just caught an off day, but overall...

Had breakfast two days in row here. Experience could not have been any more different. First day, everything was great. The young man who was out waiter was great! I had a bowl of oatmeal and my son had a bigger breakfast. I didn't specify any additions to the Oatmeal. Both breakfast arrived quickly and to my surprise it included a small bowl of Blueberries and a little catsup cup (maybe a teaspoon) of Brown Sugar. I hadn't ordered that but was greatly pleased that it was brought along with my dish. The Blueberries were great! Really enjoyed my breakfast as did my son. We tipped the waiter extra for making our experience a good one. We quickly decided to have breakfast there the following morning. Next morning we arrived and were seated pretty quickly. But everything was downhill from there. It took a long time for our waitress to take our drink order and it was 10 minutes before our coffee was brought to the table. Both of us ordered exactly what we had the day before. It was at least 20 minutes before our food arrived at the table. I noticed that there was no Blueberries and brown sugar. When I asked the waitress about that she said "those are extra". I had to ask what the cost was and she said $1.50 for the Blueberries and $1.00 for the suger. I got the blueberries but declined the Brown sugar that would about a good pinch! My son's breakfast was cold when it came, as was my oatmeal. I had to wait for the Blueberries another 5 min. We were both surprised at the difference from yesterday's experience and my son told her when she came back with the Blueberries that everything was cold and he also asked why the Blueberries and sugar were extra today and not yesterday. She snarled " because your waiter wasn't doing his job that's why!" On the contrary I would say. She then continued to run down the other waiter and said she would speak to the manager about him. My son told her we were very satisfied with his performance but it was today's experience that was not up to expectations. When we left my son resolved to call and talk to the manager to make sure he didn't get into trouble and to set the record strait on what the issue was. I sure he's done that by now but I'm not...

We walked the mackinaw bridge on Labor Day and had 2 small kids with us. When we finally got to this restaurant we were starved and completely worn out from dealing with 2 children whom I agree shouldn’t have come on the Labor Day walk of such a long length. We were told the wait was 45 minutes long for a table for 6. We agreed. An hour came and went so we asked about how much more time did they think it might be. That’s when they stated that they had “4 tables only for bigger parties” and that there was still one big party ahead of us. So we agreed to stay. That 1 big party was taken in and sat down right at the time we asked. Then 30 more minutes came and went and we again asked how much longer as the children had become so hungry and cranky that they were in melt down mode. At this time we were told that they only had “two tables for big parties” and that in fact even though they had sat 1 large party there was still another large party ahead of us clearly going against what they had told us earlier. Since we just couldn’t wait what most likely would have been another 40 minutes, we had to leave and walk another mile in order to leave on the last ferry in time to get back over to mackinaw city with very hungry children. We were so disappointed we only wanted honesty and would never have waited 90 minutes in vain if they had just been truthful with us to begin with. And not to mention the hostess was very rude the second time we asked. I normally do not leave bad reviews but this was so unthoughtful of the hostess to act so rude and to give inaccurate information considering the walk most people...

I don’t often give this low of a rating, but unfortunately they earned it. After walking in and not knowing if I was supposed to seat myself or wait to be seated as they had no sign up telling us that and I was ignored by several staff members walking by as if I was invisible, I finally stop a server to ask. She told me I could pick a seat and brought me a menu and then ignored me for the next 10 minutes as well as the other waitresses taking care of other tables that sat down after me. I should’ve gotten up and left like my gut told me, but again I stopped one of the waitresses and asked if I could order food and she walked away and then came back a minute later with a glass of water and took my order. Then the server who had been assigned my table, Ella, stopped by and apologized for the delay and continued with the service for the rest of my visit. Ella was very nice I just never saw her until this point. The food was very bland and lacking flavor. The hash brown cheese casserole was not very good at all. No distinct flavor at all. I ordered the side pancake quantity of one for $1.99 as it says on the menu but got two and was charged $6.99. The pancakes were very tough to cut with a knife and very chewy. I’ve never experienced that with pancakes before in my life. This place is super popular and busy and I have no idea why.

We ate here twice while visiting St Ignace, first for lunch and then for breakfast. Lunch was pretty good. We had the Blueberry Grilled Cheese and a Cheeseburger. The burger was really good. It was juicy and cheesy and had a nice light bun. The Blueberry Grilled Cheese was interesting with the apple, blueberries, feta, and cheddar. It would have been better with a little less feta but it was still good. We would give them a solid 3 for lunch. Breakfast however was a disaster. All the food was warm at best which meant it was cold halfway through the meal. The pancakes were dry and dense. The eggs were cold. The bacon was overdone and the cheesy hash browns were bland. The toast and breakfast potatoes were good though. It actually seemed like a lot of the food had been pre-cooked in bulk then just dished out on the plate. The service was fast and the people were friendly but they did not really come back and check on us. We had to flag them down several times for refills on drinks at both breakfast and dinner. Breakfast gets a 1 from us so overall we are giving a 2 rating. They do offer baked goods here as well. Doughnuts, small pies, cupcakes etc. They all looked really good but based on our experience we passed on those items.
