I've been coming to the Club Geek at least once a month, and sometimes even more Kurtis and Bridgette have only treated me with respect when I come out here and even treated me like anyone else with my $20 of SSI money spending money that month, and I could only buy a cola or two. I won't type this and say that they we are: "Omg besties!" The reality is this: I was their patron, and they served me efficiently, and kept me coming back when I had the money to do so the next month with professional but still efficient charisma.
Now, I make my own income and I come here and spend my money. They took me in, let me drink my cola, and didn't let me wallow in the desert of madness that caused me to only buy 2 drinks in the first place.
They do good, honest, efficient work, and make you feel welcome. You may be in the desert like I was, but you can come here, and they will try to offer you some respite. And just realize, if you can, you are loved more then you know, and if I could take the cross so you could live the life you...
Read moreClub Geek is one of those places I visit every time I'm in the Joe. I was introduced to the place through a work friend who knew the owner, and it was love at first sight. A couple of beers and a SNES is all it takes to make this guy happy, but I've always enjoyed going with a group as well. Get nostalgic with the Sega, remember your glory days playing Mario Kart 64, or even sit at the bar and play Smash on the Wii.
Club Geek isn't just for video game lovers, though. With accommodations for table top gaming and the like, you might also find your favorite board game on the shelf ready for you to enjoy.
I've never had a bad experience at Club Geek, and it's a long time favorite. I would recommend whether you are flying solo or with a group. Reasonable drink prices are the cherry on top.

My party was mainly excited for the N64 party games but the controllers, particularly the joysticks, were in pretty bad shape. The N64s also looked absolutely terrible on the HD TVs. I think an upscaler would help the old systems look better.
A few in the party also received beers that expired two years ago. Yikes, but the bartender cleared it from our tab. This could be a fault of the supplier or anyone not involved with the bar so I won't dock it....
