Coleman Hawkins Park / Felix Street Square — Attraction in Saint Joseph

Great area in St Joe.

Limited area-about one square block in downtown St Joe. However very nice throughout the area. City supplies summer entertainment on Friday evenings usually free access.

City has installed traffic control devices in this area so as to protect its visitors during these times. But-some of the local business owners appear disfocused because they havn't been fine tuned yet and the finishing work on these devices hasn't been completed as of this time. This is an expedited process and being done very quickly. These statements by our local business owners draws shame to the local residents who appreciate what St Joe supplies for its local residents and especially its downtown visitors. So beware the negativity in that area and don't be affraid to share your informed opinion when these persons make these statements toward you.

Take what you want closest to what you get-and be happy with it. And be patient, please.

Easy to find and get...

Thioffwes is a nice gazebo band stand with a grassy lawn where concert goers can sit . Its bring your own chair. They offer all sorts of entertainment. From Jazz and blues to rock and country bands. the talent is usually local, northwest Missouri some coming from Kansas City and places within 100 miles of St Joseph. Occasionally, there will be some bands from further away. Its an open air venue seating as many as 50 to 200 people. There is a concession and food venders out along the side walk...

Was here with my dog during the day. Looked clean and kept, but the vagrants in the pagoda were not. After ignoring their verbage, we moved on. When events are scheduled here, the atmosphere is much more friendly. Would recommend with...
