IHOP — Restaurant in Saint Joseph

Normally a good place to eat, but last time, the service was very poor. After being seated, drink order was taken. After several minutes we had to "flag down" a different waiter to get drinks, and then the order was not complete. The food was finally taken, but two of the four orders came wrong. When we were ready to leave, had to call for the waiter to pay. The food was good. Have been there several times and will try again. Hopefully will have better experience.

• Update. Went back to I-Hop today to try it again. This time we entered the restaurant about 6:30 PM . As far as I could tell, there was a about 3 groups of customers eating, and I saw two waitresses working. There was no one at the reception area. We waited about 5 minutes, but never had anyone show up. My wife walked to back of the dining room and ask a waitress in we should dear ourselves. My wife was told that she "Was just a waitress ". My wife insisted on waiting for a few more minutes. After about 3 or 4 minutes, we left and don't plan on returning until management makes major changes ** Udate. It's over two years after the last visit to this IHOP. The service has improved. Our waitress was very good. Unfortunately the food was not. It took over 25 minutes to get eggs, bacon and pancakes. The restaurant was less than 1/3 full at 9am on Tuesday. the eggs were over cooked with burnt edges. The bacon was below average. Pancakes were great. Jade was our waitress. I hope some restaurant picks her up before she sinks with IHOP. Sadly it probably won't...

The past few times here have been a disaster with the service. Our server gave us a glass full of lukewarm water, no ice, and strawberries at the bottom when we asked for strawberry lemonades. Another server came shortly after and offered to get us the correct drinks, which she did, but that strawberry water was a kick in the gut first thing. The same server also denied having turkey bacon and customizable omelets, and I know IHOP serves those. This server seemed new and did not ask anyone about it, despite me assuring them that it's something we've ordered often. I also ordered a house salad as a side - I'll leave the picture of it. It was a very unpleasant experience, and to top it off, they very uncomfortably joked about needing $100 as a tip.

Another time, I went out with friends and our server was very friendly, but seemed very new, as well. They took our drink orders, did not write any of it down, and came back 5 minutes later to ask what our orders were again. We were a party of 5. This server also passed items to us by reaching directly across one of my friend's faces. Literally inches away from their nose. Multiple items... I understand being new, but that is very unprofessional and very uncomfortable.

Unfortunately the food isn't quite good enough - to me, at least - for me to want to come back to this environment. We've given it multiple tries, but the service doesn't seem to improve.

The only redeeming thing for me are the drinks - I love the strawberry lemonade and the new splashers, when they are actually...

It’s been over a year since we’ve been to ihop, my wife and I decided it would be nice to get some Saturday breakfast…was not expecting just all of this. We were sat and drinks were taken, order was shortly after that, but it just took 45 min for our food to get out to us. The wrong food. Kindly send it back, you know, accidents happen, we have all been in food service before, then my wife finally gets her crepe, and it looks like this. This is $14.50, literally this is like an hours worth of pay for this crepe. We ask our waitress if this has always been like this and she said that corporate is here in the kitchen. Ah! Makes sense now how it took 45 min to get out to us. Our waitress says that she is going to get her manager and then walks away. My wife and I are like “okay, cool, corporate is here I would like to show them this crepe and then a picture of their menu, bc this is false advertising” but then no manager comes out, just our waitress. She says that they took 20% off of our bill, so I think they knew they messed up. We just laughed at this point, there’s nothing else to do😂😂😂

Ihop used to be AWESOME, back in highschool we would always come here after football games and go eat and it was always a lot of food, super cheap, and great service, but now with the new management, it’s just really fallen short. It’s a bummer because it used to be a really nice place to eat. I recommend Waffle House now bc at least all the staff is nice, cheaper food, and...
