Worst experience of my life at subway, or anywhere for that matter. The first time I went there, yes the first, I ordered on the touchscreen like normal, with the only cardboard sign on the side saying nothing about money, only not to pull forward. I get to the window and give the girl a hundred dollar bill and she said, "We dont take hundreds." No sorry for the inconvenience or anything halfway nice. Since when does a major fast food chain not accept 100's? Dumbfounded, I left to get smaller bills. Then when I got back I ordered on screen and double checked that I put my own order in right, which I did, since I know what I always get, since it's my order. I drive up and pay with my one dollar bills hoping they would be accepted. The rest went fine, except a different employee from the first, being rude also. Then when I got home which is halfway across town, my sandwich didn't have one ingredient in it and had extra of another. Then looked at receipt and it did not match what the touchscreen that I placed my order on read. And from that I can only gather that it was either done on purpose, or by incompetence by the employees. Will not be returning, time to find a...
Read moreMy sons and I went in on January 11th, 2014, around 6:00 in the evening. I was trying to figure out what was on the $5 footlong menu. The only thing I saw was all regular footlongs for $5 during January so I ordered a Italian BMT. They charged me $7.25 before tax. I sat while I ate trying to figure out where it said on the menu that the footlong Italian BMT was $7.25 and it was not there. I couldn't find it, my sons couldn't find it. So I took the receipt up to the register and told the person that I think I was over charged. She looked at the receipt and shrugged and took it to another person who was serving the drive thru. I saw her say something and the person came back saying "no, it's right". Again I studied the menu trying to see where it said it was $7.25, gave up and went home. A week later, I was watching a subway commercial and it said "all regular footlongs, $5.00 for all of January, even the Italian BMT" The commercial even specified the Italian BMT!!! Be careful with the Subway Restaurants in St. Joseph, especially this one, because they'll clip ya...
Read moreI stopped by Subway yesterday to order a salad, only to learn that they no longer chop their salads. Instead, it’s just layered, which unfortunately doesn’t have the same appeal or value. I was disappointed, as the chopped option used to be one of the main reasons I ordered salads there.
Additionally, while the employee preparing my food was wearing gloves, I couldn’t help but notice a significant amount of dirt under her fingernails, which was very visible through the gloves. That made the overall experience less appetizing.
I’ve always appreciated Subway’s fresh and customizable options, but between the change in the salads and the food-safety concern, I don’t feel the experience is...
