Caribou Coffee — Restaurant in Saint Louis Park

I stopped in to get a cup of decaf this morning to only walk away frustrated and empty handed. While yes it was busy - like every other morning today was different - the employees were all barking orders at each other loud enough for the whole shop to hear. When I told the barista my order he rang it in and went to get my coffee only to inform me that they were out and I would have to wait at least 10 minutes which I didn't have as I needed to get to work. Being 5 1/2 months pregnant I don't have the luxury of switching to a cup of regular coffee so instead I asked if it could be substituted. I was informed no - due to in not being ready and out of my control I asked again to substitute a hot decaf americano - again no. In general I enjoy Caribou I strongly feel their brewed coffee has a superior taste to Starbucks. With that being said next time I will take my order to the Starbucks in Target or stop at another Caribou location. I am deeply disappointed with how the employee didn't try to offer me a timely solution to my problem. I was so frustrated by the end of the conversation I walked-out without even getting a refund. I’ve been here once before and had awful service, but I chalked it up to the woman taking my order having a bad day. Welp, today I was back, same woman taking my order, same surly attitude. I’ve never been to a Caribou with such rude people. She made me feel like such an inconvenience for being there. Even the woman who made the drinks said nothing but a scoff when I said thank you as she set my drink on the ledge. The woman taking my order both last time and this time (same woman) seemed to be so offended by my presence at my very simple coffee request. Never once looked up, she just held her little paw out and waited for me to grace her with putting my card in her hand. Trust me, I work in the service industry and I know bad days happen. But to have the same attitude two times in a row, weeks apart makes me think that’s just how she is. Other than that, Caribou is Caribou, so you get good coffee and a place to do some work. I’d say save yourself the awful energy and head to the one down the road where they always greet you...

So far I've been here at least 3 times and every single time I come here, it's a horrible experience. The cashier, who seems to be the same one every time I go, is very rude. Today, I was with my girlfriend who ordered before I did. I thought the logical way of doing things was to then have me go next since we were together but paying separately. Not according to the cashier. She rings up my girlfriend, then tells me to hold on and rings up the person behind me. I just walked away in shock. I've had other experiences as well where the barista at the hand off plane just straight up ignores you if they missed a drink and you're trying to get their attention to ask where the drink went as well as a host of other problems.
