I wish I could give Zero stars. The reason is the Customer service HORRIBLE!!! I broke up with TJMAXX and I’d like to share with you the reasoning behind it. TJMAXX used be my favorite store, I normally spend around $200300 per month there until this Saturday afternoon 12PM, June 23, 2018 which is the day right after my birthday. Location is: T.J. Maxx & HomeGoods, 8322 MN-7, St Louis Park, MN 55426. I went there try to buy some nice clothes to treat myself. The red haired “heavier” cashier with black frame glasses (Unfortunately I didn’t catch her name)let me experience racism first hand. I can not believe as employee who is working there, they don't understand how to read the Tag, and they don’t know what the numbers mean on the tag. Fortunately, I do understand how to decipher the “markdown number” by looking at the tag. The latest markdown was 21, but one of the dresses I wanted to buy was lagging behind at 12. I should mention I had around 5 items in my cart, worth over $400 in total. So as a customer, I asked one cashier to help me check the Mark down(clearance item), she told me it was $148, and now should be $78. I pull my card out and prepared to pay all those cloth, at this moment, one lady who is “heavier” with long red hair gave me a nasty look for reasons I still am unsure of. Then she hastily approached the cashier who was helping me , and I overheard the red haired lady tell the cashier not to “mess with her” and mumble a few other things I couldn’t make out before laughing a bit with the other cashier. I have no idea who she is, but I notice she keep look back at me when she told with the cashier who trying to help me. From her eyes all I can see is something not positive for sure.
After I went to Cashier #13 which is a blond hair, white skinny lady I see her tag is manager. She told me they can not give me as $78 as that dress, I have to pay $148, also, there is another dress on the tag was $68, now they want $99, and the way she talked with me is rude, no smile, no respect. even herself don’t know what those tags number mean. TJMAXX, I loved you in the past 5 years, I spend around over $300 per month for you, but from that day by the horrible customer service , is enough makes me broke up with you forever. This store is rude and treats people differently by the way they look. The employees apparently hate their jobs and they treat their loyal customers with disrespect, so I’m done with TJMAXX. From day 1 to the end, I barely ask about any markdowns or price changes with them. I have no idea why they hate me and make me feel so unwelcome. During the entire event I kept a smile and remained respectful, but the customer service was absolutely terrible. Honestly, I never knew the customer service could...
Read moreI am giving this location a few stars mainly due to its impressive selection. However, shopping here often feels like navigating a chaotic garage sale. The store is overwhelmed with unorganized inventory, making it difficult to enjoy the experience without spending excessive time sifting through clutter.
As a frequent shopper who invests thousands here each month for my interior decorating projects, I must address the customer service. While some employees are friendly, many staff members, including those in supervisory positions, exhibit unprofessional and disrespectful behavior. The negative atmosphere at the registers is particularly discouraging, with cashiers often needing managerial assistance for even the simplest transactions, which adds to the overall frustration.
The purse and bag department also suffers from poor organization. Security measures like beeper locks are needed and understood however they’re frequently located far from mirrors, making it inconvenient to repeatedly seek assistance. Additionally, the sarcastic remarks from security personnel, such as “Oh, you’re back!” create an unwelcoming environment, despite my loyalty as a customer.
While I appreciate the diverse inventory, many items are overpriced, particularly in the bedding and linen aisle, which tends to feature uninspiring colors. The pricing for larger household furniture and decor also feels excessive for the quality offered, and the layout of the decor section is poorly designed, complicating navigation.
In summary, the combination of unprofessional staff and disorganized inventory detracts from what could be a fantastic shopping experience. This store has significant potential, but it requires substantial improvements in both organization and customer service to truly enhance the...
Read moreYou need to fire your "manager" Tracey who doesn't know how to talk to people. I bought my mother a pair of pants that didn't have a tag. I was STILL charged even though there wasn't a tag. I tried to return the pants at a different TJ Maxx closer to my home. The receipt is almost completely unreadable in less than two weeks. The store I went to for the return told me I had to go to the original store to do the return. I went to the original store but I misplaced the receipt. I had the card I paid with. The manager, Tracey, yelled "I can't MAGICALLY pull information up." It's magic to look up an item sold in your store less than two weeks ago? I was "magically" charged when that item did not have a tag to begin with. I guess it's magic to give half decent customer service too. I took her picture because I am bad with names and she started screaming that I was recording her. She went to Loss Prevention at some point to tell them. When I was leaving the store Tracey said "there HE is that's who was recording me." I'm very obviously a woman I don't know why your employees misgender customers on purpose. Once I FINALLY return these pants I will no longer be a TJMaxx customer. It's always a long wait and subpar service but...
