Honest review. Recommended to come here to this hidden gem by a fellow co-worker. Kawapow Chicken and Rice comes with a fried egg- kawapow chicken overall sweet and delicious, bamboo is soft, lightly crunchy vegetables and it all just melts in your mouth. I don’t take spicy food very well and the cook accommodated this very well! Very flavorful basic dish without any overwhelming spices! Pork belly - portion is HUGE! Just wanted to get it to try some of it couple pieces here and there and I took the rest of it home in a to-go container (you help yourself to a to-go box from the metal shelf by the front counter)! Pork belly outside skin is SUPER crunchy and the meat itself is juicy, moist and absolutely PHENOMENAL! Cream cheese wontons with their sweet red sauce- most generous cream cheese filling I have ever had compared to other restaurants I have been to! Most other places provide so little room for cream cheese, this place hits it right on the jackpot!! Sprite, nothing too special- all your pop will come from the cooler up front by the counter! Still refreshing to help down the pork belly! Mango boba tea with black pearls- some of the black pearls in my drink were still slightly frozen and hard which I found slightly confusing and odd (I am used to warm, soft black boba pearls sifted in brown sugar syrup at other places), but the mango boba tea still tasted good nonetheless! Pretty quiet dine in while I was there, one person was eating pho and another couple came in to also order pho- most of the activity for the business while I was there dining-in was from a lot of take out orders! Music choice was great, not too loud- it was comfortable seating in a booth: No problems! Also if you want to avoid paying any card fees- make sure to bring and pay with cash! Less stress and less hassle! Left the waitress with the rest of my change as a tip (10%)! Most places nowadays will charge a certain percentage of a fee when you use your card and I guess some people that leave those angry reviews have not caught up with modern times yet with all these rental visa order machines around in many restaurants! (Coming from a mindful former family business employee) All these places everywhere have to pay back for these basic business services somehow!

I was excited to try a new place that offers authentic Laotian food and other southeast Asian cuisine. We went here for supper on a weeknight. The service was quick, and food was prepared fairly quickly. The outside of the building and area looks sketchy. The inside is nice and is a part of an Asian mall. We ordered spring rolls, cream cheese wontons, and egg rolls for starters. They both were served with the fish sauce, which has a good heat level. The egg rolls were ok due to too many vegetables versus meat in ratio. The kids shared a small meatball pho, which was a decent size. My friend and I ordered the kaopia to share, and that was so delicious! Pure comfort food. It contains homemade noodles, which I believe are rice and tapioca flour. They make the soup thick like a porridge. It tasted like a Laotian chicken noodle soup. It was topped with green onions ,cilantro, and crispy onions. We liked it so much that we visited a second time a few days later. I really wanted to try the kapoon. It looked like something similar to what my mom makes but is a Cambodia dish. It's a red curry noodle soup, which was pretty tasty and similar to the aforementioned dish. Although, it was a bit overwhelming of mushrooms and bamboo. I had to remove half of the mushrooms. Otherwise, I highly recommend this restaurant. It offers pork belly and beef brisket at the counter. I'd like to come back to try more items.

This restaurant has become the worst place I have ever been to.

Our table was not cleaned . It was dirty; the seats and table. Our waitress didn't bother to even clean it. All she said was "sorry".

They ran out of beef brisket and told me it would take a whole hour... so I ordered something else . Then our waitress comes back after 5 whole minutes to tell me my order was not available because they ran out. So again I order something else.

(My boyfriend and I were about to leave and try a different place but decided to just stick through it and hopefully everything else will go good... but that was my mistake.)

They gave me my food first before my appetizer... I waited because my boyfriend didn't receive his order and we were still waiting for the appetizers. Finally my appetizer came and they were so small. Upfront at the counter, they have to go food ready and the egg rolls up there were huge.

My boyfriend had to wait 15 extra minutes for his. Our waitress stays "sorry" due to the delay of his order. It is very sad to see that my boyfriend couldn't even eat his noodles that included onions because he is severely allergic. He specifically said no Onions. At this point we were lost for words.

They didn't even have napkins available and when we asked our waitress she turned around and went straight to the phone and then went to the kitchen and never came back. She was absolutely rude! I decided to go up front to the counter and saw that there was BEEF BRISKETS AVAILABLE!!!! they are liars! Complete lairs! They had so many that were sitting in the food heater! I find it strange that if I didn't dine in I could have gotten my beef brisket to go. I waited for 5 minutes at the counter for someone and finally the waitress came out and asked me what I had wanted . I told her we had asked for napkins 5 minutes ago and she grabbed a few napkins and smacked it into my hands. This is the worst customer service I have ever had. So much attitude and bitchiness.

I strongly and sincerely recommend everyone to go elsewhere if they would like to have a good nice out with their friends, family and or significant other. Hope no one ever experiences...
