Do NOT order delivery from their website.
I ordered donuts for delivery over a week ago. This company's website at the time, and as of writing, has the option of ordering for delivery. The site says that donuts will be delivered on Saturday. The email order confirmation stated: "The Donutz will be delivered out Saturday between 9AM-12PM. We will notify you when our driver is on the way. If you missed the order window time (FRIDAY @ 4pm) well move your order to the following Saturday or can refund your purchase." I expected donuts to arrive this Saturday since I ordered nearly a week in advance. Despite ordering well in advance, I never received the order of donuts or any confirmation of delay or cancellation. My card was charged right away, however, including a delivery fee. I have contacted the email address listed on the Shop order confirmation and on the website and it comes back as non-deliverable. I have left a voicemail and text message to the contact number and submitted an online web contact form and have not received a response. It is extremely irresponsible to have a website still taking orders for delivery if this business is out of operations or not doing delivery. There was and, at time of writing, is nothing on the website to indicate that deliveries have been ceased. At minimum orders that can't be fulfilled should be refunded ASAP. If you go to their website and order delivery then expect to have to have to contact your bank or card issue to try to get a refund...
Read moreI live in dinky town and this place is my favorite! It is much better and reasonably priced compared to other great places in the twin cities area. (All donuts shops have their 'amazing donut' so I wouldn't say it is the best. Just my favorite since it is so close and has the old dirty bastard)
The hours the shop is open do kinda suck but it always makes my day if I am walking past at 9 or 10 am and see they are open! Be aware that they make all the donuts really early and close when they sell out so if you go later there will be less choices. All of these things are clearly stated on their website hours.
I bring people here all the time (usually at night). The choices are amazing and the names of the donuts are unique. The worker (owner), Brad, is very chill and is always blasting music. He has a great memory and remembers faces like none other. It is nice to walk in and be greeted by a friendly face!
The whole shop is a little small and can get cramped at night. There is a little seating area with an N64. He has the classics, we chose Mario Cart 64.
All of the donuts are labeled clearly with the price on their website. Try the old dirty bastard (my favorite).I'm pretty sure all the donuts are raised donuts so just keep that in mind.
Try and get there early and play a little N64 while eating the...
Read moreMy son and I drove 15 minutes out of our way to try this while we were in the cities recently. The idea is cool, but the execution was terrible. First, the machine kept saying it was "out" of the option I selected, even though I could see a few of that kind in there, and the options available weren't that great to begin with. Second, the display names of each donut didn't match what was actually in that slot, so after trying at least 10 times to get the machine to dispense ANY donut, it dropped one that wasn't what I chose. (I had to try 10 times because it also wouldn't recognize when my card was in the card reader, and then it would "time out" and I would have to start battling the machine all over again.) I can't comment on how it tasted, because by the time we got one donut out, it didn't look fresh at all, and it wasn't a flavor either of us wanted, so we didn't end...
