Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Saint Peters

We used to go to Applebees on a regular basis and found the service friendly and good and the food decent for a chain resteraunt. That changed as menu changes added odd sauces combinations and seasonings in an effort to find a competitive niche. Since our pervious positive experience we have gone there perhaps six times in the last year and each time have come away with varying degrees of dissatisfaction regarding food quality and taste. In almost every instance management without hesitation took off the price of some item where we had mentioned a degree of disatisfaction. This evening following my granddaughter's soccer game we treated the family to a meal and found the St.Peter's location to have a reasonable wait time and decided on it for our meal. As usual the service was friendly and good but the food was practically inedible. My daughter took only one bite of her entre and had to set it aside while her partner ate all of his because he was hungry he mentiined that it was pretty bad and ended up throwing it up in the parking lot before they got in their car to leave. My burger which I wisely ordered in basic form came with a past due tomato and red onion with some lettuce on a stale toasted bun that I took one bite of and removed. The fries were greasy and somewhat past their prime. My wife and granddaughter had small steaks that were also less than stellar which they did not finish. We complained only about my daughter's meal and as usual they didn't hesitate to refund the price of that meal. All and all we have given the Applebee's chain our last piece of business. Racial profiling is the act of suspecting or targeting a person of a certain race .... This came about because there was an established trend from persons who fit into this ethnicity. Wow Michelle is the worst server ever. My Co-worker and I visited Applebees to eat and we was Racially profiled. The whole time she never came to our table not once. We saw her only when she had to take our order and when she dropped our food off. No refill on our drinks or checked to see if we needed anything... She dropped our check off and kept going. Didnt ask if we needed anything else. My Co-worker paid cash and I paid using the tablet with my debit card at the table and left her tip on the table. Instead of checking the table for the bill she proceeded to run to our car with 3 ice teas for a different table in her hand and told us we need to PAY and may I add we asked for a to go drink and we never received. I politely went in and ask to speak with a member of management. The first manager I came in contact with was rude as hell, he acted as though it was no big deal that this happened and didn't even bother to apologize. The situations escalated so the kitchen manager Alan came out and tried to address the issue but we were on our lunch break so he gave me the General Manager's and corporate contact information. They were busy and there was about a half hour wait but it was well worth it. The waitress was excellent we had 6 kids and only 3 adults to deal with them and she helped as much as she could while keeping up with her other tables and us making sure we didn't go without anything plus fixed my dinner that was made wrong. It was even better when the 2 littles didn't want to eat and thought while we weren't looking that they could give her their plates but instead until the plates were in front of an adult she didn't take the plates even convinced them to finish eating. When we decided to be sarcastic and ask her if she wanted to babysit or even have the kids she just smiled the biggest smile and said sure I'll babysit anytime then with a laugh left to put our order in. We didn't have to wait and ask for the bill and they way she brought it over was perfect didn't even know she was there and told our friend not to rush paying it we then gave her the money needed and mind you we werent done eating yet but unlike other Applebee's when your done paying you feel rushed out the door this one just leaves you be and still refills your drink and all and let's you leave at your own pace even when they are overfilled and have a waiting list I've been to every Applebee's from Warrenton to st.charles and I would drive from Illinois to st.peters just to go to this Applebee's because of their excellence...
