This place was stellar!! I visited around 10:30am on a saturday and the place was packed with a 30 to 35 min wait (which I take to be a good sign b/c it's no small feat to pack a place that early in the morning.)
Since it was just me party of one, I chose to take a seat at the group table (has 10 seats, smaller parties can opt to share the table with others in order to shorten the wait.)
The waitstaff was clean and presentable and genuine --(as in they were professional and attentive but not that over-the-top perky that some places seem to promote.)
As a first time visitor, I asked my waitress Breanna what dish she would recommend -the chickichanga ($10.29 before tax)- and it turned out wonderfully. I cannot express how pleased I was with this meal. The portion was exactly perfect (and I generally eat pretty decent sized portions. I can't speak for the portions of anything else on the menu as this is the only dish I've ordered so far.)
Yes, this place is slightly pricey but the food quality and taste is well worth the wait and price! Despite the budget and the fact that it's about an hour from my hometown, I'd definitely make the extra effort to visit again =9
P.s. They keep fresh coffee pots at your table so you can refill at will,...

I am disappointed to hear that this specific First Watch had started denying military discount to our veterans. As someone who is currently serving, I believe the decision to limit military discounts only to currently serving members, while excluding veterans and past service members, is short-sighted and potentially harmful to First Watch’s reputation.
Veterans have sacrificed years of their lives in service to our country, and their contributions do not end the day they take off the uniform.
Many businesses recognize this by extending the same courtesy to veterans as they do to active-duty members, acknowledging the lifelong impact of military service.
Restricting the discount may inadvertently send the message that veterans are less valued, despite the fact that their service and sacrifices helped secure the freedoms and opportunities we enjoy today. By including both active-duty and past military members, First Watch would demonstrate a deeper commitment to honoring all who have served, building goodwill within the military community and fostering customer loyalty.
Ultimately, extending the discount to veterans is not just a financial gesture it is a powerful statement of respect, gratitude, and...
Read moreOverall, I will cite that the service at the St. Peters location of First Watch was very good. Since the restrooms were pretty–as you'll see from the photos I uploaded–I decided to go ahead and give them four (4) stars. Whenever I personally visit an establishment, and find that the men's restroom is on the cleaner side, I'm encouraged to give a higher rating. I would have given them five (5) stars had I not needed to send my pancakes back for a newer, fresher. But this isn't the first time I've had to do that with First Watch. It seems like that every location, or perhaps every other location, that I have to send the pancakes back because they have either been burned, overcooked, or they're old, somehow. When they brought the new batch out, it was like night and day in terms of the coloring and the freshness. I'm not sure why that keeps happening but it does. It has happened at the Clayton location once or twice, and at the Kirkwood location a time or two. But as I mentioned, the experience for the most part was positive. The server was pretty great as well. Unfortunately, I don't...
