Final Update 27-Mar-19: They've really started to step up their performance here. Still not what I call a typical SB in a major city, but much improved over the past year. The service is predictable and consistent now. Seems as though there are some familiar faces behind the counter now and they've got a routine down pat. I've moved my rating up to 3 stars as this store has shown improvement and consistency. The product is as expected and the customer service is on the rise.
Update 2: Feb 15. It's been 2 weeks since I called the 800 number and complained about the acting manager telling my wife I walked out of this store with the wrong drink and that I was at fault for not verifying the order. No response at all after I specifically said that I wanted confirmation someone has dealt with the worker that lied about me. I actually asked a worker where my wife's order was. It showed ready in the app and had been 10 minutes. They asked me what it was and I told them it was what ever she had ordered through the app and that I didn't know. The worker then made a drink and handed it to me, I thanked them and walked out. It wasn't until I got home and gave the drink to my wife that I found out it was wrong. A frapachino instead of a hot latte. When my wife drove there and confronted the acting manager she claimed her staff told her that I just grabbed a drink at the order ahead counter and left. In reality she made it up to try and pass blame while she was talking with my wife about the bungled order. She must not of thought my wife would tell me about her encounter with the girl acting as manager. When I drove back to confront her about lying and blaming me I was feed the same BS. When I pointed out who was there earlier and made the drink, her story changed to simply that she'd handle it. I let her know that I didn't appreciate having people lie about me or my actions. Not even an appology. Long story short. She couldn't accept her or her stores error. She held fast and blamed me for the problem. What kind of customer service is that. This store is a train wreck. No leadership at all all the way up to the regional manager. Sad that they'll hire anyone that's breathing to manage this store. Truly not a Starbucks attitude or performance. Calling the customer a liar and doing nothing to resolve the issue. Waste your money at your own risk. This store is the bottom of the barrel. McDonald's has better service.
Update 1: the turn over rate seems high. New faces again. Wait time has gone up inside. Ordered a drip, waited 5 minutes and it was placed at the pick up counter without calling my name. Seems to be a lack of leadership.
Not the fastest Starbucks. Not the slowest either. Walk in is slower than drive through. Recommend ordering in advance on line and walking in to pick it up. Best way to...
Read moreThis is our local Starbucks , but if the line isn't a detterent (and the pace of the line) the staff here for sure will do ya in. I can't count the amount of times my husband or I have received the wrong order but tonight really did us in. We stopped to get coffee to go along with our donuts (I always get decaf coffee for health reasons and pregnancy), 1st when we order it started off with a young man who though we kept saying 'grande decaf soy pike with 2pumps vanilla) Insisted that I wanted an Americano (expresso and I don't get along well decaf of not) my husband got venti pike soy and vanilla....well after fumbling with the gentleman a lady cut in at the end told us to pull up to get our total. We pull up what do I have but an Americano and my husband a grande size...upon inquiring about my husband's size coffee the young lady clearly had an attitude and fixed it (at least we thought ) only to get home and find his coffee was pure black and burnt tasting with grounds all at the bottom....this Starbucks is a craphole and we typically drive out of our way further down midrivers or even to O'fallon and this is why. I don't know who the RBF young blonde woman who was working the drive through December 1st around 6-610pm but management I would suggest you get her some further training on how to deal...
Read moreLet me preface this by saying, I am a coffee addict and frequent many Starbucks locations (especially since I live out of town). When I go to this particular location, it is strictly out of convenience and lack of time. But every time I have visited it has had consistently poor service and quality. I can understand that a large crowd is overwhelming, but my hometown store has similarly high volume and handles it much better than this store. So I can't accept that excuse. The majority of the employees have unpleasant attitudes in their interactions. Not outright rude, but not nice or engaging--which is a large part of the experience for me. Add in the long wait times and many errors, the final straw was today when a male barista yelled, "No, don't do that," at another male barista who was about to make a mistake with a drink. It was so loud that it got the attention of the customers, as well as the person I was talking on the phone with! Again, I recognize wanting to prevent a mistake, but the way he handled it was unprofessional in front of the entire store. I have given several chances to this store hoping for improvements because I try to be fair and I do not leave reviews like this EVER, but I cannot bring myself to go back here no matter how desperate I am...
