Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Saint Petersburg

I'm a regular customer at this location; however, I should say it in the last tense. Recently there has been an issue with sewer drain and grease trap backups that lead to development of a Nasty Sewer Smell.

Instead of fixing the issue corporate management has decided to reduce the in store temperature using the AC; which creates a extremely cold condition in the building affecting the entire restaurant.

Yesterday the regulars at the bar as well as folks at the bar tables asked to speak to the manager on duty to turn off the fan for the AC in order to stop the fridged air from blowing on all if us, at least that way we could warm up and enjoy our stay.

We like this place due to location and specials, and we have overlooked many of the issues created by poor management decisions which lead to negative experiences.

However, when the manager of the day came out at the request of all of the patrons there in the moment so we could ask him to turn up the AC temperature setting or turn off the fan his response was that he was instructed by corporate management that he can not change the temperature nor turn off the fan which either could return the store to a resonable comfort level.

Collectively, the group of regulars spend thousands of dollars here monthly between food and beverages, for me, this will no longer be the case.

When we are all complaining that the intetior is too cold for us, creating cold hands and back, and a desire to go outside to warm up when the temp outside is 60 degrees; it illustrates a negative guest experience. We can't enjoy our food or beverages in that environment!

This location should be closed due to health regulation issues, for example the sewer drain backing up behind the bar creating flooding water conditions that the workers had to stand in... in order to provide service to the bar.

I'm taking my business else where and recommending my fellow patrons do the same until such a time that this locations corporate management or health department take action to resolve the many...

I ordered 3 Bourbon St. grilled chicken and shrimp which came with mushrooms and onions. The meal which I only ate one of them was absolutely disgusting. It’s not if and or butt about it they were absolutely disgusting. I contacted the manager Javon at the fourth Street Applebee’s advised him that I had two of the meals hole and I had ordered breadsticks gave him. My name told him that I would be returning them he offered me to remake. I said no I do not eat remade food. Therefore I will request a refund. he told me when I would come in he will handle the refund. I paid 70+ dollars in cash money advised them that I was at the hospital due to my daughter being given birth and that I would not be in immediately When I did go into the restaurant. I spoke with Tori. It took them literally about 20 minutes to decide whether or not they were going to refund my money and they told me that they would give me a gift card first off. I am pescatarian. I purchased the food for other family members that was at the hospital. I do not eat out and I would not have went there at all had Not been hungry while sitting at the hospital they told me that they were refund me with a gift card that’s not how I paid. I paid cash money at the bar and they are refusing to return my cash money that I gave them so in other words you’re stealing from me number one and two you’re gonna try and force me to eat at a restaurant that I don’t eat at so to me the customer service was deplorable. The food was disgusting and management needs to figure out how they’re going to deal with refunding people who spent cash money because if it was on my card, you put it back on my card if I gave you my cash I want...

I don't even want to put one star ...my friends and I went tonight for her birthday dinner ...we all ordered the chicken...all 3 came out raw and we waited 30mins before being acknowledged...our server asks us if everything is ok we let him know our chicken is raw and he responded with thats the 2nd time tonight ....he grabs the manager and he asks us what the problem was ..we let him know and show him our RAW chicken which we took pictures of ...he says sorry and walks away with the chicken comes back and says here's your check with chicken off and charges us for the salad that would of been free with 2 for 20 and our drinks and just walks away . Never asked if we would like something else didn't seem like he cared he just said I took the chicken off ..Well duh it was raw we couldn't eat it now it's late were tired didn't eat and still paid haha I've been a server for years and never would my managers have someone pay or leave hungry and unhappy and still pay ..Craplebees is a joke I have pictures of the check too . We live right down street and always eat here we will NOT be returning thanks to Chris the manager if that is his name. It's not about the money I still roped our server 10 bucks on meal I didn't have but just shaking my head that this manager didn't even care and knew we left mad I will be calling corporate...happy birthday to my friend who got nothing for dinner but we still left with a check ..he didn't offer to get us anything else...if yall need somewhere to eat codys is the place and they would never tolerate this .
