Amazing!!!!!! Small, Hidden Treasure for some of the very best Take Out. David is welcoming. First time there and I felt like I have known David forever. He is proud of what he is serving up. I was offered samples of just about anything and everything. Soooo good. The Jambalaya was exceptional. The Seafood Chowder hearty and yummy. The collards and green beans fresh and delicious. The fried catfish topped with crawfish etouffee was up there with one of the best meals I have eaten recently. The pear salad and chicken salad were Taken for my lunch the following day. I literally had extra forks in my food to try it. The Bourbon bread pudding was filled with bananas and not dry. The very best bread pudding I have eaten, hands down. I love to patronize local independent business. Have already put out word of mouth and sent friends to Bayou Market. I Could not write a review without mentioning D in the kitchen. This was my first time eating at this resturant. My husband and I both had the bourbon chicken with dirty rice. We were given samples of the creamed spinach and bourbon bread pudding to try. All of the foods we tried were delicious . The chef brought out fresh Beignets for us to try. He said he was trying to make them thinner and wanted our opinion. They were thin enough and had the right amount of crispness and doughy in the middle. They were a very nice treat at the end of our meal.

Food is amazing. The owner has been in business for 10 years with his catering company that is extremely successful (how do you go for 10 years if you aren't amazing!??) So successful that he started up the market. Delicious fresh food and the brownies are so good! Some every day style buffet selections (get on the email list to find out what is on the weekly agenda) but the biggest and best is the grab-in-go food. Hugely successful. I suggest you not listen to any complainer and try it out for yourself! Food portions are large and NOT cold or OLD. David takes great pride in all of his dishes. A+ place and will only get better...
