We sat down outside for a quick bite as the place was slow on Saturday afternoon. We were the only ones outside. Sat in the middle so we'd be noticed and waited about 5 minutes before my girlfriend went inside to use the bathroom. She said she wasn't greeted by anyone. We waited another 5+ minutes for service. No acknowledgement by the staff, thirsty and hungry so we left. Just a few customers inside too. I used to love this place but it is only getting more expensive(understandable under circumstances) and, well I guess I can't even rate service now.

The last time we ate there about 6 months ago, the waitress low-key blamed my girlfriend for not letting her know she didn't receive the drink she ordered. She still charged us for the missing drink, then passive aggressively stated "well I wish someone would've said something" after we had asked her to remove it from the bill. We had poor service to begin with(still tipped), so there was no opportunity to say anything about the missing drink and didn't think it would even be on the bill. That put a sour taste in my mouth for sure.

I used to love this place, but it always seems like one guy(manager?) is overwhelmed and whoever else behind the bar/waiting is half paying attention or too busy talking up customers or has an attitude. I dont know if they still have the same waitress but bad attitudes in service aren't good for biz. Ill probably give this place one last chance before I stop going for good.

Prices up, service down. Give the hard working dude someone who actually helps please. Or at least someone who notices people waiting for service/doesn't pass their faults onto the customer. Unless we just have horrible luck, every time we go there now we arrive upbeat but leave upset. Im afraid this place seems to be on its way out. It used to be cheap greasy no frills hole-in-the-wall average (almost fast)pub food. Now it's mid- priced greasy food with staff issues. I'm rooting for you burg, I hope you take this as constructive and address necessary issues so you...

The family and I were looking for a good burger place to check out and came across this one on Google. Looked at the reviews and due to the high star rating decided to check it out. Needless to say I was very disappointed. We visited around 2pm on a Saturday. 2 people were serving and the place was somewhat busy. As we sat down we didn't get a welcome, a hello, or anything. Just the menus and that's it. I had my 4 year old boy with me and the server didn't even bother to bring him a drink until I requested one. Friendliness of the staff was below average and not once did we get checked on. I don't expect to be treated as royalty, but at least some decent customer service would be appreciated. To top things off, there was a gentleman behind me who had just left when he finished his meal when the female server ran outside to catch up with him and holler at him that he didn't pay his check. The gentleman came back inside upset and obviously embarrassed, opened the check book, and showed the server that he did in fact pay by showing her the cash he left. What an embarrassment and lack of respect from this place. What's even worst is that she DIDN'T EVEN APOLOGIZE to the guy! The only reason I gave this place a 2 star rating is because the ratings were right about the food. Definitely great burgers, but it's a shame their service isn't. Kudos to the kitchen staff. I did see that they had a now hiring sign outside, so big heads up to the owner to ensure he/she hires better equipped staff. I don't think I'll...

Ordered a couple hot sandwiches and fries this evening that were late being delivered so I called The Burg to check on the order. The woman who answered the phone at The Burg mistakenly assumed I was the delivery guy calling, so when I asked if the food was cold she admitted to me that, yes, the order was already cold. When I told her I was the customer calling to check on the order, she got flustered. I told her that the food would need to be remade, and she immediately got rude with me.

She nastily told me she didn't have to remake anything and that I should have come and gotten them myself - even though it's The Burg that chooses to contract their food deliveries through Bite Squad. She had the nerve to shoot her mouth off to me, but unsurprisingly didn't have the stones to tell me her name when I asked for it so that I could report her behavior to the owner. And then she hung up on me and took the phone off the hook so I couldn't call back to ask to speak with a manager either.

This is the last time we do business with The Burg, and that includes the catering I often order from The Burg for the staff at my firm. It is disappointing for sure because we value doing business with local mom-n-pops, but The Burg has clearly lost its footing if this is how they allow their employees to treat customers. I will direct my business to other locally-owned...

Understaffed as many places are, I tried to be understanding but unfortunately left extremely disappointed & unimpressed. The only wait staff on duty was overwhelmed w the lunch crowd and it was obvious her frustration was growing w the patrons when asked for anything. My friend said her burger was "the worst she ever had", the fries were burnt. The "cole slaw" was unlike any cole slaw I have ever had - bitter and vinegary, not edible in my opinion. I was surprised to see I'd been charged $2 extra for it replacing my fries (I did get taken off bill) and asked for potato salad instead which I never received. The tomato on my sandwich was green and awful. It was a problem to substitute a healthier bread than the greasy Texas Toast for a sandwich. In the past I reviewed this place badly. Then changed my mind. Now without picking apart every single thing about my last visit there, Just gonna say I'm definitely never going back there again. Have mostly had bad experiences there time and time again. One person in kitchen and one working the floor (& bar) is not enough staff to make this place work.

My wife and I were having some draft brews about half a mile from their location, and one of the bartenders mentioned that The Burg made really good burgers and was open late. So, with their resident food truck closed and us hungry, we decided to visit the place. It's a small diner type place in between other little shops almost under the I-275 highway. They serve some draft beers, have a full bar and sometimes they have sangria. They also have limited outdoor seating. We went in, sat down and were greeted by the attendant who was a very pleasant guy. We saw the menus, ordered and were served fairly quickly. The food was PHENOMENAL. Their Burg Burger is so good, I would've had another one if I would've had the space for it. Medium Burger with Gyro meat and home made Tzatziki, a big slice of feta and fresh condiments made this sandwich a star. My wife's Impossible Burger was just as good; fresh, savory, and gorgeous. I had onion rings with my burger and my wofe had the home chips. We then had another order of chips to go. I will definitely be back for more!

I recently dined at the Berg Diner and Grill in St. Pete, and my overall experience was just average. Let me break it down: Portion Sizes: Unfortunately, the portions were on the small side. If you’re looking for a hearty meal, you might want to reconsider. Cheeseburger Salinity: The cheeseburger I ordered was a bit of a letdown. It was extremely salty, which affected my enjoyment of the meal. Beverage Options: Now, here’s where things get interesting. The diner only offers sodas in cans, not the usual fountain drinks. I found this a bit odd and limiting. Service: The service was okay, but not outstanding. It didn’t leave a lasting impression. Perhaps they’re understaffed, as I noticed some hustle and bustle behind the scenes. In summary, the Berg Diner and Grill has room for improvement. If they address the portion sizes, saltiness, and beverage options, they could elevate the dining experience. For now, it’s a decent spot, but not a standout. Please note that this review reflects my personal experience, and others may have different opinions. 🍔🥤
