I realize each “Franks” is owned by a different person... I worked at the one near Tanglewood & they were AMAZING at customer service & could always work with you for a specific order, all the while keeping things fair for both customer & their establishment. Today is Father’s Day &although we normally order from a diff Franks, this SALEM Franks was on our way to where he’s recovering at Salem Health & rehab from his stroke. This was a special treat for him bc we’re working on adjusting him to a healthier regime for eating. The experience was so UNNECESSARILY STRESSFUL due to the staff acting as ‘robots’ of a large corporation(as opposed to a small business that is flexible to some extent & uses common knowledge with their customer service skills— I wanted to order him a calzone with 5 vegetables,, which we do at the 3 other Franks locations by ordering the “CREATE YOUR OWN” which is any 5 toppings for $9... & it’s not as though we wanted it fully loaded with their most expensive MEAT toppings- they charged us almost $4 MORE for the fact that OUR VEG CHOICES didn’t include things he doesn’t enjoy eating- such as in OLIVES, broccoli, etc... Staff as nice enough when picked up ordered, but that’s probably bc WE TIP ON TO GO ORDERS... POINT BEING- they should’ve went to a manager if they were for whatever reason incapable of substituting ONE 50 cent VEGETABLE TOPPING FOR ANOTHER (same priced) VEG TOPPING. Basically UNNECESSARY STRESS & rip off of their customer’s money due to NO ATTEMPT AT BEING FLEXIBLE (which would cost them ZERO $$$$) Aggravating to...
Read moreI’m being very generous give a two star, only because the cheese pizza and the drink were good. About a year or two ago I used to come to this restaurant many times with my husband and children. Today was my first time coming back in about a year or two, this time I came alone to catch something to eat after work. The service of the whole restaurant was very different. When I come in there’s usually somebody at the podium at the door or at the register that welcome you within five minutes. But there was no one there only the cooks in the kitchen and they weren’t looking up either. There was only two tables that had dine-in guests so they weren’t too busy to greet me, but no one did. So I took myself to the register to let somebody know that I’m here and I asked them for a menu so I can go sit down and dine in. The person who was waiting on my table. I felt like he was rushing me to get my order and rushing me to get through the experience of guiding in. There used to be a manager/server who was familiar with my family and I but I think she wasn’t there during that afternoon shift or she doesn’t work there anymore. The family feel of the restaurant isn’t there anymore and I wasn’t feeling it. I was very...
Read moreA meal here this evening was somewhat unimpressive. Arriving just around 9pm, we waited briefly to be seated. The young man who seated us was friendly and brought our drinks (half price beer mugs on Saturday!), but apparently forgot us immediately after that. Several others entered, and were seated and placed orders before us. Eventually, we flagged down a waitress who apologized and took our order. Then, I flagged her again for a beer refill. I ordered a calzone, and my companion had a salad and soup. His order arrived nearly 20 minutes before mine. We weren’t surprised that mine took longer to prep, since it is made to order, but the difference in service was noticeable. We had to flag the waitress again for a spoon and then she didn’t appear again until she brought our check, without offering refills or dessert. We requested a drink refill, which was the last time anyone noticed us. Although the doors indicate the business is open until 11pm on Saturday, unfortunately, we were made to feel that we were inconveniencing the staff. The food was good, but the experience was not. They were stacking our chairs on the table before we exited...
