Great Harvest Bread Co. — Restaurant in Salem

This place is still okay as they have kept some of the original recipes and products. However...it's gone downhill since the new owners took over. They don't seem to put as much care into the quality of the products that the previous owner Mike did. I know this because I worked there for two years and it used to be one of my favorite places to visit when I come to Oregon.

I won't even order the sandwiches anymore because they are god awful now. I remember spending hours back there slicing meat, cheese, veggies. It's clear they aren't using any of the same products. Obviously to save money and sacrifice quality of product. Their sandwiches taste like they pulled turkey from an Oscar Meyer package and called it good. Pepsi in the drink case when all that used to be in there was healthy juices and milk.

They also don't offer any slices of bread to try anymore. They aren't friendly and no one greets you when you walk in. People sitting down in chairs in the back, clearly in sight. Just all looks super bad.

I hope they get it together soon. I miss this place...

I Went in with the family and got my usual scone . The consistency was not right and my scone is tiny . I asked for a new one, and she said they cannot do that . When something is made wrong you would expect it to be fixed . Also I got a monkey bite for my son, and it was hard . Probably a couple days old . Customer service was not great at all . I asked for a manager , and she simply said they don’t do returns . I am hoping management sees this , and will reach out to me, because I’ve been a customer for year . I want me refund or a great scone like you guys used to...

Only came here because Big Town Hero was closed. Waited 20 minutes for one sandwich, only two other sandwich orders in front of us. $23 for a bag of cookies, monkey bread and one sandwich with bread that sits like a rock in your stomach. The slow as molasses girl that slapped together the sandwich didn’t apologize for the wait and wasn’t friendly. First and only trip to this dump...I am not sure if I would call this place “Great”. One star because you have to put in at least one star. Save your money and time and visit...
