Title: A Culinary Adventure at Ibendoo Ramen Ibendoo Ramen offers a tantalizing culinary adventure that promises to delight even the most discerning palate. With a rich, opaque pork bone broth infused with soy sauce, miso, and salt, each spoonful transports diners to a realm of savory bliss. Their signature ramen comes in two distinct flavors: Black Oil, featuring hints of toasted sesame and garlic, and Red Oil, boasting a fiery blend of hot and spicy chili. Both variations bring their own unique character to the hearty broth, creating an unforgettable dining experience. Toppings abound, from soft-boiled ramen eggs to crisp scallions, crunchy bean sprouts, bamboo shoots, and wood ear mushrooms. For those seeking an extra kick, their chef's Special Hot Sauce delivers a tantalizing blend of savory and spicy flavors. Before diving in, take a moment to savor the broth, allowing its intricate flavors to dance across your taste buds. Then, indulge in the springy noodles, each bite a symphony of deliciousness. What sets Ibendoo Ramen apart? It's their commitment to culinary excellence and their ability to craft flavors that are truly one-of-a-kind. With each dish, diners embark on a culinary journey that is both exciting and satisfying. Don't forget to complement your meal with their refreshing Thai Potted Plant Milk Tea, the perfect accompaniment to your ramen adventure. Whether you're a ramen aficionado or simply seeking a memorable dining experience, Ibendoo Ramen is sure to leave you craving more. Join them for a culinary exploration like no other.

Cozy atmosphere, though the seating is somewhat limited. The menu offers many varieties of ramen bowls, appetizers and the menu offers a visuals of the many dishes. Of the many options available, I can speak highly of their plum wine, chicken kara-agé appetizer, and their deep fried chicken ramen bowl (the items comprising my meal). The ramen bowl was richly flavorful. Hosts were polite and relaxed; I arrived when it wasn't very busy, so dining was largely quiet. When I needed something more, they were attentive. The restaurant was tidy and clean. I will definitely return, and will encourage friends and acquaintances alike to whet their appetites here. Also, I've enjoyed meals from this restaurant, enjoyed via delivery. They packed their meals with care, which also played a part in my wanting to dine in person. I hope to return again.

We used to drive to Beaverton for quality ramen - no more! This new ramen place in Salem is wonderful. The noodles are on the firmer side, broth was light but flavorful and the toppings was well balanced. Overall, exactly what I would hope for in a ramen place. In the pictures you'll also see that the decorations are not Simple (a mural and a WALL OF SPOONS) but the decorations aren't subtracting from the openness and enjoyment of the space. Music is low enough that you can talk to your table but loud enough that it's hard to eavesdrop. Bonus: the potted plant drinks are a cute twist!! The sprout seems to be a mint leaf on a bed of Oreo crumbs acting as dirt. Love this place and I'll definitely be back soon!

DON’T EAT HERE!

Message to the owner/manager: You sir need to re-evaluate your behavior and customer service standards. You are a prime example of terrible management. For this only being your 6th day, you are not off to a good start. Most disappointing $56 I’ve ever spent.

Food was good, but average. If it were just for the food I would come back.

Service was great. Waitress was attentive and polite. She did her job very well.

Appetizer. We ordered the short ribs - $6. In all there was about 4 bites of dry, over cooked meat. I do not recommend.

Ramen. I asked if I could substitute the teriyaki pork for the pork belly. The waitress submitted my order then came back to let me know that there were no substitutions, but for $1.25 I could add the pork belly. I ended up settling for teriyaki pork minus the teriyaki. When my ramen was presented to me it had ONE bite of pork belly on it. The bite of pork belly was no thicker than my NAPKIN! When I questioned the waitress she stated she herself paid for the “up charge ”... I asked if this was the normal serving size for the up charge. Yes it was. $1.25 gets you a single bite of thin pork belly 😦

Owner. I had asked to speak with the manager regarding this policy. I pointed out that I was disappointed in the no substitution policy and pointed out that it was not stated anywhere in their menu. I also questioned the serving size of the pork belly, he defended the serving size. I gave praise to my waitress for HER efforts at customer service. The owners response? “What do you want me to do about it?” WHAT DO I WANT YOU TO DO ABOUT IT?!? Are you kidding me? How inconsiderate. I have never seen a worse representation of customer service ever. I said, “As a patron that ate the meal, I will just pay my bill and leave.”

I’m torn! I love ramen but I can’t support poor business practices such as these.

Note: I was never seeking to have my meal for free. I was never seeking a discount. A simple apology and compassion for my frustration would have done so much. I also tipped my...

Don't get me wrong, the food was good. But genuinely the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I got better customer service at Wendy's when they forgot my fries during rush hour than this place when it was literally me, my friends, and another table of 3 in the entire restaurant. The server was incredibly rude and passive aggressive the entire time. When I realized I didn't have enough money to pay for both me and my friend, we asked the server if we could split the bill so that way I could afford what we ordered. He was INCREDIBLY passive aggressive but agreed to. He took our empty plates and we could hear him like almost throwing them in the dish bin out of anger. I understand being annoyed, I work customer service, splitting bills after the fact is annoying. But never have I once EVER taken it out on a customer, especially when it's dead inside (I can see why). When we paid, my friend apologized to him and he was explaining complications in splitting the bill, but he was saying it with the worst attitude ever. Food was great, whoever cooked it, delicious. But our server just threw the vibe, stomped on it, put it in a blender with spoiled milk, and served it to us like customer service isn't...
