My husband and I came in around lunchtime today while we were running errands. This is one of our favorite sandwich places, but unfortunately we don't have one super close to us so we don't get to eat here very often. When we walked in the place was very clean and very busy. We were immediately greeted by everyone behind the counter. Everyone was wearing their masks appropriately. I didn't catch anyone's names, but the girl who took our order was very patient with us and our special requests. Too often when we order and request items removed from other places it is like we are wasting their time or they are uninterested in what we are saying, this was not the case here. Our questions were answered politely and with them being as busy as they were they made us feel as though we were the only customers there. Even the gentleman who cashed us out was polite and the girl who filled our drinks. Where the food was made was clean and sanitized between orders. We received our food and went home, which is a bit of a distance from the location. Our sandwiches were still hot and made appropriately, with our special requests followed exactly. I am very impressed by the crew that was working today. We will definitely be coming back. Shout out to the crew for rocking it, and shout out to the management for training...
Read moreBeen to this particular location several times now, and it's been consistently decent. They make the sandwich from start to finish in front of you, so it's pretty easy to tell if they're doing something wrong - haven't experienced any issues, but for those who are concerned about getting the wrong orders, or having ingredients added/left off, this is a plus.
The quality of the food is top notch for a restaurant of this type - much, much better than Subway. Their bread has much better texture and has a nice, chew. It's not overly soft or mushy. Their gimmick is that they slice the meat and cheese when they make your sandwich, which, theoretically might make it slightly fresher than otherwise - it does add bit of time to the process though, and I'm not sure how much freshness it really adds, but it's kind of fun to watch.
They have a small selection of toppings you can choose from, which all seem to be freshly prepared. I like their sweet peppers. They offer to make your sandwich "Mike's Way", which is basically putting a bunch of lettuce, some Italian seasoning, a little pepper, and some olive oil and vinegar on...
Read moreI really liked this place. I was very satisfied with food quality and service In fact I'm a member of the jersey Mike rewards club. But this latest trip, I ordered a sub club that was inedible. The turkey was WAY oversalted and coupled with bacon, it might as well have been a salt lick. While not entirely their fault, when I was asked if I wanted it "Mike's way" I assumed they were referring to oil and herbs, which I'm not fond of, so I replied, "no, mustard and mayo", not realizing this would be construed as none of the vegetables either. Not paying attention to them as they constructed it, that's exactly what I got, meat, cheese, mayo, mustard between some stale white bread. I'm not that picky of an eater, but when I got home and unwrapped it to eat, one bite (after adding my own vegetables to it) this went straight to the trash. I'm now out at Roth's waiting for a sandwich as I'm famished!...
