Kings Famous Roast Beef, Pizza & Seafood — Restaurant in Salem

On Friday night 8/14/2020 a few of us wanted some seafood and being in Peabody Kings was our go to. When I called I noticed the pleasant tone of the person taking the order seeing as how usually the guys that answer the phone there sound like they are ready to end it all. We ordered a seafood combo, chicken finger dinner, and a large chicken cutlet sub. Once we go home we were confused as to why the seafood combo was so small, there was no salad with the chicken finger dinner and the chicken cutlet was soggy. I then called to inquire what was going on only to find out that they are under new management. The name should be changed seeing how people ordering are expecting a certain level of taste when ordering from this place that is well known for the seafood and portions. I wanted to share my last experience with Kings. I actually received an attitude from one guy at Kings. We were undecided on what we were having so well drove there and placed our order. My order was well over a $100 and waited about 25 minutes. I did not mind the wait and had expected a wait. When I paid for the order. The guy at the register gave me an attitude and said I should have called in or ordered online with a big order like this. He whined that they were busy. I'm sorry in these times you would think you get some appreciation for an order this big. He did not even say thank you for the order. Hidden jem of Salem! Not down town in the mix of it all but a little down the street where you can park in the lot and enjoy your meal. I was greeted by JJ as he was cleaning the front and he was doing a fantastic job. He even made all the drinks face the same way in the fridge for a great presentation. I appreciate little thinks like that. Shows that the employees take pride in the place they work. Now on to the food. I had a junior beef they was huge and the best chicken fingers I ever had.
