i’ve been coming here for a few years and have given this place many more chances than i should have. it actually used to be pretty good, mainly because of a very kind and helpful barista who was there almost every day and always had my order ready for me, made perfectly. i stopped seeing her there about a year ago and things went downhill very fast so i guess she was the glue holding this place together. i’m a barista in salem so i completely understand how stressful and demanding it can be, but the amount of times i have waited a ridiculously long time for a terrible drink, and i always place an online order and give them at least 10-15 mins before i go pick it up. the quality varies so much day to day, they are always understaffed and the baristas always seem stressed and overwhelmed. they cycle through employees very fast which is usually a red flag that working conditions are not great. there have been some great baristas and i will say there is a guy who started working there recently (beard and beanie) who is very nice and makes great drinks. my last straw was today when i went in to pick up my usual online order and the new barista was incredibly rude to me and told me they didn’t have any orders under my name, i showed him the receipt and he just looked at me like i was stupid until another employee yelled to him across the cafe to make me a small cappuccino, which turned out to be disgusting and boiling hot. i think it’s insane to treat any customer this way, let alone someone who comes in multiple times a week and tips every single time. it’s my own fault for giving this business so many chances, but it is such a cute space and concept and i like to support small businesses. honestly, save yourself the time and money and go to the dunks down the street.
also, i’ve seen the owners rude replies to other negative reviews and which i think is embarrassing and extremely unprofessional. maybe take constructive criticism to help improve your business that is clearly lacking...
Read moreI've had great coffee here in the past. However, I had a very poor experience with ordering food here. They didn't have all of their delivery apps turned on, so my order didn't get noticed even though the app charged me and sent me a confirmation. I was on a major time crunch (which is why I ordered it 30 minutes in advance), and while the person there was very kind, the order was super rushed. The website did not reflect that they were out of one of the items I ordered even though here were multiple items on the menu which were marked as such. On top of that, the sandwich I ordered was about 3"x3", which is tiny. It should be noted online how absurdly small the sandwiches are. It was also supposed to come with a pickle but this was not included. To top it off, the chips in the display case were a fairly nice brand but I ended up receiving Lays. I ended up having to leave before they could make my drink because I'd already spent half of my lunch break waiting for the tiniest sandwich I have ever purchased. The person working felt awful and they gave me a cookie, so that and the nice beverages I've had there in the past are why they're getting 2 stars. Basically, I recommend them if you don't have anywhere to be and you're not getting anything other...
