North House of Pizza — Restaurant in Salem

Very good pizza, in a pretty nice (if bland) setting. Their music choice tends to range from okay to awful, and that's really the only negative I can think of. The food is good, but with some items I could still feel ice chips from the freezer. When they make pizza, they excel, but when they make, say, smoothies, they're just okay. Nothing is terrible here, though.

If I were to make a recommendation to the owner, I'd tell them to trim the fat from the menu and get rid of so many menu items. There is so much on the menu, from chef's salad to fish and chips to margherita pizza to smoothies to (probably) a bunch of other things I never can read because the menu is so cluttered with options, most of which are okay, but are not pizza. Their specialty is clearly pizza. They are very, very good at making pizza. But all this extra stuff is not their forte. They either need to cut certain things from the menu or learn how to prepare them better so they aren't just somewhat bland versions of food I could get much better prepared at a non-pizza centric restaurant.

Overall, 4 out of 5. The pizza is amazing, but the look of the place is generic, the music can be loud and awful at times, and the menu is not focused at all on what you'd expect a place called "North House of Pizza" to be called. I'm definitely going back for the pizza though. Oh my God, you guys, it is...

Placed a scheduled order for 4 large pizzas around 2pm to be picked up at 7pm. They called at 3 to say the order was still there waiting. We clarified that it was a scheduled order to be picked up at 7. Picked up the order at the scheduled time and they were luke warm and solidified. These were clearly the erroneously prepared pizzas from nearly 6 hours earlier that had just been left on top of the pizza oven. North House has been a go-to in our household for the past few years and we are sad to receive this kind of service. New management is not off to a good start, and we do not plan to return.

If you received the order at 1:41, then you had over 5 hours to prepare it for pickup at 7pm, not 20 minutes like you have stated. This was an order for us to pick up in person for a party later in the evening, not for an ASAP delivery. It did not have to be made right away.

The issue is not that they were not prepared by the time we got there, it's that they had clearly been prepared at the time that the order was placed (1:41 as you have stated), and then left to sit for several hours until the originally scheduled pickup time (7pm). Not only is this ethically questionable, but also incredibly unsanitary and certainly a health...
