McDonald's — Restaurant in Salem

I just visited lakeside McDonalds today the date is july 25,2020 the time is 7:29 i went through the drive through and ordered a double cheeseburger with only extra pickles add mac sauce 2 small fries no salt 2 mc chickens only ketchup and extra pickles three large sweet teas one large coke one mcdouble with mac sauce only and a cheeseburger we asked for salt and ketchup so we could get hott fries and asked for the salt after to be able to still have salted hot fries well the fries were Cold one of the sweet teas had no ice and my large coke was full of ice there was no salt and ketchup in the bag only one pickle on the mcchicken and the mcdouble mac sauce only was for my pregnant best friend who expected fast food was sitting in a hott car with no ac for at least 10 minutes.. we were in a Yukon Denali it gets maybe 13 miles to the gallon I was already on the interstate in roanoke and when I called the person who answered heard me out at this time he didn't know the type of vehicle I was in or that my friend was pregnant but in my eyes that shouldnt matter regardless for the food to be fresh correct and in a good timely manner. He asked me if I would like to come back and return the order and he could replace it... I said sir I am in a Yukon Denali and it is a gas guzzler I am already back in roanoke I have the receipt with me sir and I dont think its fair that my order was messed up and you want me to spend more gas mileage to drive back to lakeside from near sheetz on orange almost all the way home. I told him to please put my name in the book so I could come back for whatever reason I have the time to come back and pick up a whole new order it would be the least they could do to fix this situation. While we were ordering the food the drive through lady had to ask over and over what we meant by a double cheeseburger only pickle extra pickle add mac sauce. She said so you dont want ketchup or onions or mustard right, and we said yupp only mac and extra pickles and she kept asking for us to tell her again what kind of double cheeseburger.. it was so annoying and aggravating then to call this store the man insists that I come bring the order back in order for him to fix it.. and I asked if he was a manager to me it first sounded like he said there was no manager. And then he claimed to be the manager himself. He is by far the worst mcdonalds manager I ever have had to deal with. This was my experience at lakeside mcdonalds drive through july 25, 2020 I had to end the call by telling him I was editing my review for their restaurant because I felt like an idiot begging for my name in a book while i have a receipt and my order was messed up and being denied like some kind of common prank caller bum who doesn't have a receipt and scams for money i have my fiance my pregnant best friend and her fiance. This was total trash and I am so unhappy. I will try to get them all to leave a review as well till i get an apology. Thanks. And I want a genuine one not a fake I gotta apologize cause of a bad...

Slow wait times. Inept and unprofessional staff.

I had to repeat my order several times. It was a very simple order. After giving them their order the girl at the window was leaning out, flirting with the van of guys ahead of me (may be a positive if you like that sort of thing). The restaurant was technically closed at that point and I had been in line for roughly 15 minutes (there were several vehicles before and after us) I was not interested in waiting on their "lust connection." The 1st drive-thru window was already closed so I needed to pay at the 2nd one. Instead of taking my money, which I tried handing her, the young woman mentioned above turned her back to me to listen to her co-workers complain about the customers and the amount of work they would have to do. I finally got her attention and paid. Then the employee that had already been complaining the loudest had a full-blown temper tantrum. While 2 other employees from the back calmed their emotionally stretched colleague it came out that they had not even started my order. The girl at the window handed me my drink order and explained what I had already heard. My order was going to take a while. I pulled into space #1 as instructed and waited. I waited as 3 cars pulled up to the same window and left. A fourth vehicle sat at the window for a long time and I began to wonder if I had been forgotten. A woman, possibly the manager, eventually brought out my order. I had not even checked the bag when I asked if a specific item was inside (I had repeated it several times as a part of my initial interaction). It was not in the bag. She returned to the building then came back to the parking lot with my final item. She wished me a good night and I returned the sentiment. This was the most personable part of my experience. There is an upside... The ice cream machine at this location actually works. The guys ahead of me ordered multiple sundaes...

This one star rating is based from about 6 months of regular visits... seldom do I get my order correct, it usually takes several attempts to fulfill my order, even so far as to acedently put tea in my iced coffie rather than coffie... I've spoken at lengths with the managers who agree a small portion may have to do with such a strong language barrier. However now with watching the staff I believe managment has a large part as well. Today I witness 3 emplies with no glove or one glove on. The lady at the fry station (only one glove) Was cramming her fingers (no glove hand) into every fry box to open them. One gentleman was eating his lunch at the drive thru window (while talking to customers)as I belive the managment hadn't given him a proper break to have lunch. Multiple ladys in the back cutting up and laughing by the sink rather than working. Over all an unfriendly and rushed environment. Bad customer service and sub par food according to MCDONALD'S standards. This location is breaking health standards and is both appalling and substandard. I've tried to reach out to MGK operations inc / lakeside LLC but have not received a call back or any info regarding the standards at this location. I advise the drive to another location or maby a nearby backup choice. I could go on with stories of this location, staff and managment however I hope you never have to find out for yourself. Eat...
