We didn't have Popeye's Chicken in the town where I grew up. If we were going to order chicken from somewhere it was always KFC. I mean c'mon, whatever type of seasonings they use on the outside of their chicken and in the gravy is undeniably delicious. With that being said, I feel it necessary to add that the KFC in my home town and the KFC in yours, may not match up to the same quality. Of course this has nothing to do with the ingredients but rather the good folks who are in charge of preparing these ingredients for us. I have always been a die hard Arby's fan. Sadly, you won't see me getting a meal from the one in the town I currently live in. I say all this because when it comes right down to it, there is no way I could pick one over the other in the world of fried chicken. The KFC where I live now isn't quite as dialed in as the one where I grew up either. I will still eat there and it is very good. Alright enough drumrolls and shuffling, time to deal. If you are in the neighborhood here and want the best fried chicken, it's going to be Popeye's. These guys know how to prepare their ingredients the right way. Consistently steaming hot and moist on the inside, and the perfect crunch and skin texture on the outside holding all of these juices in. Well done. If there are any left overs from the night before having Popeye's, they are gone before lunch the next day. Lastly I would like to say that their service is also speedy and efficient. I've had one person taking my payment while the other is packing up my food and asking me if I would like butter and honey for my biscuits. If I didn't catch on to that and don't give an answer then the one closest to me politely repeats the same question. I mention this as a way to say thank you for not just guessing. It's these little things, these thoughtful details, and combined with a group of individuals that know how to work together as a team,... That is truly what customer service is all...
Read moreMy partner and I decided to go here after not having Popeyes for quite a long time (mostly because it's just kind of expensive for some chicken and there are many more cost effective options available, just not with their recipe) and decided to go through the drive thru. The person who took our order was nice enough, then we got to the window and the person giving us our food didnt speak a single word to us as she was taking the next and only other person's order (you would think unless they're slammed the person giving us our food would be able to at least say hello, however i didnt read too much into this in the moment). It wasn't until we got home and went to eat our food that the real disappointment set in. We both got the 5 piece chicken tenders combo for $14.99 each and when we opened the boxes, first glance the tenders were just shrimpy/pathetic. Then biting into them I couldn't actually find much of any chicken, and any I did find was maybe a quarter inch thick piece of chicken jerky at best. I gave up after deciding it wasn't worth the shredded up gums from this nearly inedible deep fried chicken jerky and batter strips. They each came with biscuits, which were bone dry and rock hard. He got fries as his side and I got mashed potatoes, which were both okay, pretty much what youd expect from a fast food place. But the rest we were literally unable to continue eating. Just unacceptable, and the fact that this was considered sellable for $15 is just appalling. Never...
Read moreI would give this location less than one star if possible. When my family and I last went to this location we ordered over $50 worth of food including an extra side of gravy. We got our food and headed home which is less then a ten minute drive. Due to the way that they packed our order by putting a hot thing of mashed potatoes on top of the gravy, the container to the gravy completely melted spreading gravy all over the floor of our car and the rest of the food. It cost us $210 to get the floor of our car completely detailed. Then when we went through the food to see if anything was salvageable we noticed that half the food wasn’t even there. I threw the food away because it was covered in gravy and called the store and requested a refund. They demanded that I take the destroyed food out of the garbage and load it back up into my car to make more of a mess and bring it back. I requested the store manager call me and they never did. Then I contacted corporate and when they reached out to the store the manager told them they tried calling me but I wouldn’t respond. So the management there are liars and they don’t care...
