This is definitely a mixed review, on the one hand the burger I had was delicious, on the other hand you can expect to spend $80 to $100 for a family of four to eat burgers and fries. That's a tough pill to swallow, in my opinion.
I recently visited the shake location in Salem after constant harassment by my kids to go. Although the location was clean, it is definitely way too small to handle rush hour traffic. Ordering was slow as they only had one register open, and the main option to order was essentially via the self checkout kiosks (not sure if I was at target or at a restaurant). Also, once you place your order via the self checkout kiosk, you are assigned a number that you are supposed to place on your table (the numbers were nowhere to be found but at the main register with the live person! Ugh) Ordering needs a full revamp, especially during busy hours.
As previously stated, I spend $85 on 4 single patty hamburgers, 3 French fries, and 4 mini shakes. I posted a picture of the mini shake because it's truly mini. I should have grabbed how many ounces it was because I think it was less than 10 ounces. If we had each ordered a regular size shake or if my son and I had ordered dual patty hamburgers, we would have spent over $100 on burgers!
As for the food itself, the French fries were OK, the shake was good, and the hamburger was delicious. But when I consider that we waited over 30 minutes for our meal, and that I could easily gone to any number of sit down restaurant and paid just as much without the walmart self checkout experience. This place is...
Read moreThe food is always good, but I want to talk about the service. The order system and layout was a mess. Three self service stations and 2 of them were out of order already. There were only 1 cashier available. The line was so long and people didn’t know where to go or what to do to order their food. The staff weren’t helpful nor did they try to move or direct the customers. The kitchen staff could work a little faster as I can see the orders on the monitor were piling up fast. The floor staff look so clueless as if they were waiting to get orders from their boss. I understand they’re new, but management needs to train these staff even more especially on this holiday season. It took me more than half hour to get my food but then again I had to go back to the restaurant cause they forgot my hotdogs and chicken. It’s disappointing to see big name food establishment with this kind of quality of service; they don’t take their job seriously, and my order wasn’t even a big order. I honestly wouldn’t come back to this location. I’d rather go to Tuscan Market or to Chick-fil-a, where the line will always...
Read moreI love Shake shack, the burgers are delicious as well as the cheese fries and they always have some kind of special or seasonal offering. I'm not super impressed with the current Black truffle Burger, but you can't go wrong with a burger from there with some nice crispy onions some shack sauce and whatever else you like on your burger. The shakes are phenomenal because they are frozen custard not just regular ice cream and again that's another thing they always have some kind of seasonal offering on. I wish they would bring back a shake they had a couple of years ago it was called the cherry blossom and I was devastated when it rotated off the menu. There's always something new and different to try and if you use Uber eats a lot of times they throw in a buy one get one free deal which you can't go wrong with. If you've never been it's worth a stop, I remember when they opened one in New Haven it was the first one outside of New York City I believe there was a line down the street for weeks. I also have never met a dog that doesn't like the...
