Starbucks Coffee Company — Restaurant in Salem

It wasn't very busy and I was the only one in the drive thru. Ordered my drink and then pulled out, took a sip and it wasn't what I ordered.

Go back and no one was in the drive thru so I pulled up to the window instead of stopping at the screens. A different gal that I can only assume was the shift manager or lead, came to the window and I said nicely that I received the wrong drink, what it was supposed to be, and tried to hand it back. With no apology, she said that next time you need to stop at the screens to tell them what was wrong, I said, oh ok. Then she said she can't take drinks back, which is understandable, and then this gal said it was odd that I got the wrong drink. I would agree with that since they weren't busy but her tone came across as if I were lying to her. I don't doubt she has probably been burned by others before but I just wanted my correct drink which is why I tried to hand it back in the first place.

The very kind drive thru gal came back to the window and apologized saying that sometimes they can just get into habit. I giggled and said, "I get that". They redid my drink and I take a sip and it didn't have the flavoring in it. So I pulled back around and went into Starbucks and let the very nice drive thru gal, Maggie, know that I didn't get the flavoring in my drink and she said, oh let me get that for you. This place is great and super comfortable.

We had some friends passing through that we had not seen in about eight years. They asked to meet near the freeway, so I picked a random Starbucks we had never been to bit was closer to where they would be driving by.

They got there first and got a four seat section in the corner and their drinks and food. We got there ten minutes later, greeted them and then talked for three hours. When we were ready to leave I thanked the baristas for letting us hang out then ordered drinks for the road.

The baristas were super nice and we had a good visit with them too. This place is an hour from our home but definitely on the list next time we are in town. Coffee was strong and Frappuccino...

This morning I stopped here, I got a venti white chocolate mocha, when I got my drink, for it being a hot coffee, it felt very lite. I asked the woman (an older lady) if the coffees were normally not even full. I moved the whip around, and showed her so she could see. She looked and said “would you like me to add more milk.”? With an attitude, so I just left because there was plenty of people behind me. When I drove off the coffee was literally hot milk, there was no chocolate syrup in it.
