Starbucks Coffee Company — Restaurant in Salem

Well, I just read some of the most recent reviews about how this Main St. location is so wonderful before posting this, and unfortunately my experience was less than stellar. I’ve been traveling from Texas to New York and through all those states in between these past 3 weeks, and I’ve stopped at a Starbucks just about every day of the trip. This location was by far the worst Starbucks experience I’ve had thus far. I don’t understand what the problem was, but the staff seemed to not have a clue how to operate. It was a mobile order, and it was chaos. First they tried to collect payment even though the order was already paid for through the app. Then they handed out two bagged breakfast foods, but they were informed there should be three. After the third item was received, they had to be reminded that there was coffee with the order. They then asked me to pull around the side, where I had to wait an inordinate amount of time for the coffee to be brought out. After I drove off and was on the interstate, I realized they screwed up the breakfast items. I ended up with 3 breakfast sandwiches instead of 2 sandwiches and a bagel, even though the label on the outside of one of the bags was correctly labeled to contain the bagel. On a road trip back to home from vacation and stopped for gas and restroom break. We saw the Kroger sign and hoped to find a Starbucks as many have a Starbucks inside their store.

Very pleased to see a free standing store in front of the Kroger, very visible from the road. I hate when so many stores are hidden behind a strip center and you feel like you are on a scavenger hunt to find it.

Good size cafe inside, great displays. The women's restroom needed a good cleaning... The trash is full and there was a hair extension lying on the floor... no lie!

I'm being a tad generous with 4 stars because we also stood at the counter waiting to order for quite awhile while 3-4 workers just ignored us and kept doing what they were doing. I mean, you should at least greet your guest and tell them someone will be right with them.

I'm beginning to realize the discontinuance of the sugar free syrups is a national thing. I'll start voicing my displeasure with this & hope they get the message. I tried the Sugar Free Cinnamon Dolce Latte this time, and I do like it better than the Vanilla I tried the other day. And the young man who took my order even offered to make a Vanilla for me if I didn't like it, which I appreciated.

I stopped at this Starbucks because it was between a lengthy meeting and home. My visit was on a Sunday afternoon and there was less business than expected. My order - Grande skinny flavored latte - was promptly taken and quickly served. The two associates serving me were prompt and friendly. The store and all surfaces appeared immaculate! I very much like Starbucks brand coffee, and every drink is delicious. My only concern is the high prices charged so I do not treat myself often. I do not indulge in Starbucks snacks because of expense and they never look appetizing to me. Access from the busy main road was easy and parking spaces plentiful. Handicap accessible parking was up close and well marked. Store access was also easy for customers requiring assistive mobility devices.
