Consistently great food made quickly. I love their old motto; “We're not fast food, we're good food made fast”. This really is a great description of this restaurant. While this is a still chain restaurant, this location truly is a “mom & pop” business. Taco Time has a healthier selection of food than “fast food” places. This means you'll not be choosing from a dollar menu - but the food you get will be 1000% better. Honestly I only give them 4 &1/2 stars because some of the best tasting menu items are fried (Crisp Chicken Burrito & their Tater Tots - ooh do delicious!). But my long time favorite (their large soft taco) is like a portable salad with savory taco meat wrapped in a flour tortilla. It's priced comparable to a Subway sandwich - but the value of the food is the same. While I used to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of eating in when I needed a little peaceful retreat during the workday, these days I'm more likely to have a friend swing by the drive thru. Their ordering menu is older, and the lighting could be improved - but it's worth the trip! As long as you think of this place “as good food made fast” rather “imitation food made cheap as possible” your expectations and experience should match. And go ahead and try the Mexi-fries (aka tater tots) - you don't always have to eat healthy (and they are...
Read moreWhen I Lived Off Of Lancaster, I Used To Frequent This (TACO TIME) A Couple Of Times A Month. Now I Live Out South. I Was In The Mood For Some Of Their (MEXI-FRIES). I Remembered That They Were So Good, Different From Other (TOTS) & That I Could Easily Make (2) Meals Out Of A Large. When They Arrived -via- Door Dash, I Picked Up The Bag & Thought That It Felt Kind Of Light. I Reached In, Grabbed The Bag That Contained The (MEXI-FRIES). It Was Not Even ½ Full! I Poured Them Out & Questioned (THAT IS A LARGE?) I Counted Them & There Was A Paltry (19). So A Large Is $5.15 ÷ By (19) = A Little Over $.27 A Piece. If A Large Has (19), Then I Could Only Guess That A Regular Would Be About (14) Then A Small Costs $3.95, Would Maybe Hold (10) & That Comes Out To About $.39 A Piece. Then I Tried One & It Did Not Even Taste As Good As The One's That I Keep In Our Freezer! It Is NOT The Fault Of The Employees. They Work Hard For Their Minimum Wage. Buyer (BEWARE), If You Are In The Mood For TOTS, Trot Down To WinCo & The Go To The Freezer Section. Better Price. Better Deal. Much...
Read moreDaughter and I went today and seriously watched the cook not wearing gloves touching the taco meat and shaping it on the tortilla and then cooler door handle and then grab chicken with same hands and head over to my tacos and touching his clothes and never once wash hands than hears me complaining and gets a paper towel and wipes his hands!! The whole time my daughter and I are questioning the we believe management is this the way your policy is No gloves and telling her everything we’re still watching she had no response and we canceled our order and I told her we both work in the Food industry and gloves are required. Never again I will make my crispy rolled tacos at home. There was a lot of cooked food sitting under heat lamps. I just can’t believe how his hands were never washed. And she didn’t even apologize and say I will go take care of this. I said I’m sorry I cannot come back and was seriously my favorite. Friday December 1,2017 at 2:45pm.
