Mo Burrito — Restaurant in Salida

This review is based on menu options, not on flavor. For Breakfast fans, this is not a flexible breakfast burrito option. Be aware they only have two choices for breakfast burritos; chorizo, egg, cheese and potato or black bean, egg and cheese. I wanted to substitute the beans with potato on the vegetarian option but they claim they are PRE-MADE (this seems to indicate they are made and stored and heated when ordered) and they cannot substitute ingredients. For $7, I want mine made fresh on the fly, So I went to Sonic and got what I wanted. Not that I am a fan of Sonic but it was made right there, what I wanted, for half the cost. One can argue the quality of food (fast food versus quick serve) but breakfast really blurs the line. A quick serve burrito place should have the same "make-on-the-spot" custom option service as they do at lunch or dinner. Sorry Mo, But I expect a lot more for a $7 breakfast burrito! I wish I could judge on flavor or quality of service but not having one made to order with I want just...

Last night September 3, my husband myself and two friends decided to try Mo burrito. All but 1 of the group work in the hospitality industry and after a long day we’re looking forward to a dinner out. When we arrived ( not knowing the protocol of the restaurant) we walked on the patio where no one was wearing a mask. The man behind the counter yelled at us and said “do you all have mask”? We said “no” and proceeded to sit at a table, again, No one was wearing a mask. Two waitresses proceeded to walk past, one even changed a trash bag about 3 feet from us never even acknowledged us. The man behind the counter, the same. We sat there in confusion for about 5 minutes and after NO ONE spoke to us, finally left. It is unfortunate that Covid has not only caused fear but caused rudeness in the hospitality industry. One would think guest would be welcomed after the shut down but apparently not...

Amazing place! Me and my husband were stopping for gas in town after a long road trip / house hunting, and thankfully stumbled across this place.

Its a safe space and you can definitely feel it in the atmosphere. The staff was INCREDIBLY friendly, super easy to talk to, and very genuine. The food!!! Chipotle? She's dead... The food and all ingredients were fresh, and when you ask for what ever protein you want (chicken, steak, etc), you actually get a nice portion. I also love how you could see the kitchen and everything they use to make their food.

I really can't get over how friendly the staff were and how great the food was. If i had one thing to suggest to make it even better; don't line the bowls with wax paper, it started to piece into my food. Not that it was a drastic issue, i'd just prefer to eat what i ordered with no surprise...
