Big Nose Kate's — Restaurant in Salina

Decided to go to this bar to celebrate my 21 birthday. We showed up and the bartender was all by herself. She was very rude at first. We got our drinks and went outside. If you want a place that just smells like weed 24/7 this is your place. People are smoking blunts and vaping. They had no one to clean up tables so everyone had to clear tables to sit down. Soo that’s great. Later that night we realized we lost a phone. So my sister went back exactly at 2am and this man said he’ll go look and he’ll be down. Well 20 min later still nothing. They decided to call and he bartender was being rude swearing about them calling. She told them to stop calling and to wait till tomorrow at 12 because that’s when they open and she’s not going to look. Well we tried to be open minded we went back again two days later. Well our bartender was nice and they actually had staff. Once again we walked outside to people constantly smoking weed. The staff had no care in the world about it. Suddenly my sister wasn’t feeling normal. She started to act different. We left the bar and as soon as you walk outside there’s a cop standing outside his squad looking at everyone who’s leaving. Let’s just say yikes...Well we brought her to the hospital to find out she’s been drugged. The doctor said it’s very common at this bar and city. So be aware. I’m glad I live out of state and won’t be coming back...

The standards of this bar have dropped. Me and a few friends went in on a Sunday, there was no one else there. The bartender acted as though we had inconvinced her by being there. After we ordered our drinks we went to play pool ( I have not been in since the tables were free so i didn't bring cash or change) I asked if she could take some quarters off my card since I had an open tab, she very rudely said theres the ATM and the change machine works. I really didn't want to run my card for 20 just for quarters, luckily my friends had a couple dollars, the change machine did not infact work. We tried to order Vegas bombs pretty common shot she had no idea what that was had to Google it and we ended up with drinks somehow. Based solely on her attitude is...

I have been moving into my new house all day. 3 large UHauls full. Exhausted is an understatement. My feet hurt, and I fell on my knee bowling at a friend's birthday party. A supposed employee yelled at me rudely for putting my feet up for a little bit. I don't take rudeness from anyone at bar where I spend money, employee or not. That combined with the fact that used to be bar fights that break out every weekend (I haven't gone there in about 3 years because of that), and because it took me 20 minutes to get my drink because there were only 2 bartenders on a Friday night, definitely assures that this native Salinan, well known small business owner, and professional Musician who throws a ton of parties will never be spending a cent at Big Nosed...
