For Father's day my wife treated me & our 2 sons here, we were welcomed as soon as we walked in and atmosphere was ok. But the young lady hostess was friendly, and our waiter was very cordial. Sorry to say but did not take pics although the food was just okay, the only things that stood out were the tempura items like the shrimp & veggies, the teriyaki steak was ok, the seafood soup was ok, the teriyaki shrimp was plentiful for our little one, and the fried rice and noodles were ok. For as long as this place looks like it's been in business I firmly believe that they could have done a better job of keeping this place clean, the vents looked dirty I noticed a small spider making it's way from an occupied booth to the ceiling. Tables and booth looked half decent. Like I said the place could use a thorough cleaning, from the ceiling, to the walls and definitely the seats and table.. they did offer free dessert for Father's day.. I chose the green tea ice cream which was good n the tempura bananas which were awesome.. so for the four of us the total amount was over one hundred & seventy dollars 🤷🏽‍♂️. At least I got a free dessert.. hibachi looked good, but the tables were kind of too small and crowded. I would seriously think about coming here in a regular basis, if anything we really wanted to eat somewhere else not far from here but the place was packed.. if you can guess it's all...

We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our first-time experience at this restaurant! Not only did we have an abundance of food leftover after finishing our Fujiyama Meal 2 but also found ourselves highly satisfied by each item on offer; from juicy filets mignon right down through tasty side options like shrimp & vegetable stir-fried noodles., enhanced wonderfully both visually AND taste wise thanks largely in part due too jojos comedic talents shown whilst he performed tricks while preparing parts if it over Hibachi grills.

7/12 Came came in for the all you can eat sushi and appetizers let me start off by saying that the service here and the atmosphere was very welcoming and very wonderful The sushis that we got were midrange not the best but good for the price I guess My only issue was that the hulk had a very strange taste to it so it wasn't my all-time favorite my honey enjoyed the Sakura roll and the black dragon roll as well as the Godzilla roll I also got some goza some tempura some rock shrimp as well as fried calamari like I said everything was mid-range good The rules were huge I felt like they had a little too much rice and the deep fried rolls are the ones that I believe had a mid-strange taste to my palettes I prefer the hibachi style...

This place used to be amazing. Now it's just sketchy. Prices are higher every time we go. The manager woman is rude, constantly barking at the employees. The bathroom is disgusting, you can smell it from the front door. If you have a large party you have to wait outside. Which, if you like hanging out next to the homeless and degens from the laundry mat and head shop in the dark is great, but for a family, is not. The parking lot lights are almost all completely out, and this parking lot is known for theft. 100% sketch. Will not be going back.

Update 3/7/23, returned for my daughters birthday. Parking lot is illuminated, service was prompt and very friendly. Food was pretty good. For some reason they are still serving tea in paper cups like we are in quarantine. Food was expensive, but really, what isn't these days. Bathroom was clean and freshly painted, unfortunately some degenerate tagged the fresh paint. Cranky manager lady is now working the sushi bar and didn't bark at anyone during our visit. Had Gluten free...

Fujiyama is great spot to dine at if you’re looking to go out with the family. From the moment we stepped through the door, the attentive and accommodating staff made us feel right at home. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the captivating show put on during the cooking process. The anime-themed presentation, particularly the homage to Naruto when lighting the onion on fire, was a hit with both kids and adults alike. The chefs ensured active participation from the customers throughout, adding to the interactive and immersive experience. As for the food, it surpassed all expectations. Each dish was bursting with flavor, leaving us completely satisfied by the end of our meal. The portion sizes were generous, ensuring that even the heartiest appetites were thoroughly satiated. If you find yourself in Salinas, I highly recommend making a stop at Fujiyama.

The food is really good. I recommend the tonkatsu don, the Godzilla Roll, and the Perfect Naruto Roll. The staff is incredibly nice, and always greet you with a smile. I really could do without all the kids running up and down the ramp, leading into the hibachi area. I'm also not a fan of the random disco lights in the sushi dining area lighting up, and the loud birthday music playing, every time there's a birthday being celebrated in the other room. I've been coming here for years, and every time (EVERY time), these 2 things happen: obnoxious, unsupervised children are running back and forth. And the birthday disco lights and birthday music.
