Las Islitas Grill — Restaurant in Salinas

I came in today to eat with some friends and 2 children. The server did not bring the menus or said I’ll be with you guys in a bit. We were sitting there for a while wondering who was going to help us. I got up and asked for the menus. The server got one of my friend’s drink and was leaving without taking all of our drinks. I said we are all ready if you could please take all of the drinks please. I ordered 1/2 a dozen of oysters 2 horchatas and a lemonade the sever left and came back saying we don't have those oysters anymore only the 3- 6 and 8 and I said yes 1/2 a dozen is the 6 so i didn’t understand her question and she got upset because I said 1/2 a dozen is 6. She left mad and got the drinks exempt for the lemonade once again we were sitting here wondering about the lemonade and we asked about the lemonade after 6 min of waiting and she came mad to the table and said we don't have lemonade if you see the menu you can see that we don't have it. I said okay thank you but you could have said that when we ordered it. But okay and at this point shes all mad and said if you don’t like the service you all can go ahead and leave or i can get my aunt so you can complain so yeah we paid the drinks and left. I was not going to argue with her. The food here is great but the server was rude to us. My friends, family and myself will not come here again until their service...

Unfortunately it is the first time and last time I go. The food was mediocre at best. We waited about 10 minutes before anybody even greeted us and then when they finally did we where told to seat ourselves. We waited another 10 minutes to get someone to take our order. We waited about 45 minutes food get our food. Once we got ready to pay the bill we waited and we waited and we waited at the register and no one showed up for the next five minutes. Only two of the waitresses were helping customers at all and one just kept walking around and saw her on the phone maybe three or five times the whole entire time we were there when we were getting our food another customer walked and he sat there the waitress saw him and never said anything he waited for about 15 minutes until he finally left and not once did she say anything to him. Unfortunately I have to say it was bad service customer wise. They should get more staff. It wasn't even busy when we...

Fron the outside the windows look a bit dark, questioning thr harboring of overzealous drunks, negative. Walking in to your right you are greated by a happy pirate guarding his treasure. Place is lowly lit with low aquamarine shades of blue. For a sunday afternoon got seated under 5 min for a party of 2.

The waitresa had a smile (always emphasis a smile) which was great; also wrote down our order, not just tried to remember it as. Manny times or as simple as ot sounded as to insinuate she other more important orders. Asome waiters.

Food were some well consistent breaded shrimp, amd the rice was not over humid or mushy...one of the beat rice i tasted even within my own home. Good green. Frys didnt even need to add more salt.

For a place that has been open for less than 2 months...cant wait to go back..Just add a better varsity of songs and genres to your Music box please.
