I recently ordered a pie to be delivered to my folks on Christmas Eve. I ordered the pie a few days in advance, so all would have time to prepare for this. When I called, the lady ("Luz?") I dealt with was very nice and helpful. The price for the pie and delivery was $39.99. For this price, the expectation was that a tasty and attractive pie would be delivered to my elderly folks, so that they would have a nice treat for Christmas since they were unable to prepare foods due to illness. I live a thousand miles away, and was really seeking a special treat for them. The pie was delivered with smiles and that is great. What isn't great is the pie was HORRIBLE. They were unable to cut the pie as the crust was extremely hard. Instead of a strawberry filled pie, they received a pie full of red gel...not the strawberries that one would expect. Living so close to the Driscoll Farms, it is unfathomable that the pie was filled with gel instead of a fresh strawberry filling. So, $40.00 bucks down the drain, a horrible disappointment on Christmas and lastly, I have emailed the bakery with my contact number and no one has bothered to contact me. So...save your money and look elsewhere. Again, nice people while they take your money and deliver nothing.
Just called and talked to the owner...he refuses to refund any funds because I cannot return the pie to him...tried to explain that I am a thousand miles away..he told me to have a nice day. HORRIBLE PIE, HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT AND NOT BACKING UP THE PRODUCT. NOW I WILL POST THIS ON EVERY CHANNEL SO THAT THE RESIDENTS OF SALINAS VALLEY WHERE I GREW UP WILL KNOW THAT THIS COMPANY IS POORLY RUN AND UNETHICAL IN THEIR BUSINESS PRACTICES. THEY MIGHT WANT TO THINK OF THE...
Read moreAbsolutely horrible. The worst cake service I have ever made!! I normally order from a local bakery in seaside but the are kinda expensive. I decided to try a new place and she had great photos of cakes and amazing reviews! So I figured I would try it out, bad decision. I originally ordered whipped cream cake at decided 2 so I contacted her to have her make it in buttercream instead she said no problem the original Cake would cost $135 and in order to get it to be buttercream she's going to have to charge me an additional $50, which absolutely makes no sense because I know the difference but I simply agreed because the photos was amazing. Today my husband pick up the cake she texted me last minute and explain to me that she needed to change it no problem. My husband picked up the cake at 12 p.m. and put it in the refrigerator right away it is now 3:01 and the cake has completely fell apart I'm about to sing Happy Birthday to my daughter with her friends and family I decided to call to the bakery and explain to her what was going on as I tried to email her three times with no response, so I called her and she told me just wait and I will come there from Salinas which is 15 miles away and I will fix it I explained to her that I am doing the birthday now and my daughter is already disappointed and I am embarrassed by the shotty cake work I contacted her and asked her for a refund and she declined here's a photo of what her amazing work looks like I'm very disappointed and I heard everybody to not...
Read moreThe baked goods I've had from here have been consistently of high quality. However, I had a somewhat irritating customer service experience yesterday.
I went to pick up a cake yesterday on Christmas Eve; was initially told to pick it up between 10 am and 12 pm. I called the morning before arriving, and was told it would be ready by noon.
I came a few minutes before noon. The place was busy, and only one person (I believe the owner) was managing the front. So, I was anticipating some slight delays. However, after I was acknowledged and instructed to wait for the cake, I proceeded to witness walk-ins who arrived after me all get served preferentially. The person managing the front didn't seem in any way to attempt to follow up on my cake order while she served customers who arrived after me.
I was standing at the front continuing to wait the entire time, until the next walk-in customer gestured that she thought I was next in line. The person managing the front then went to the back, finished the decorations for my cake, and brought it out. I had ended up waiting about 25 minutes, on a Christmas Eve when most establishments were closing early, and it disrupted the rest of my day.
I could have forgotten all of this, but I didn't receive even a simple apology or acknowledgement for the wait.
This place still provides high quality desserts, but their customer service has room for...
