If I could give no stars I would. I’ve been loyal customer to this business for many many years, and tonight I received the worst possible customer service. I don’t normally take the time to write reviews but I am so displeased with the level of professionalism that I had to say something. Today, I had ordered food to go and when I got home, I opened the food to find a giant black hair inside. I called to get a refund as I paid with my credit card, and they said refused to give me my money unless I brought my food back today. Normally, I wouldn’t mind doing this but I live pretty far from the restaurant and it was late. I asked if I could bring the food back tomorrow and receive my refund then and they again stated if I didn’t bring it back today I wasn’t getting my money back, no exceptions. I tried to explain that I live far from the restaurant and I couldn’t go back tonight but could go back tomorrow, which again they refused. Besides being annoyed with the unwilling to accommodate me or even their customers in general, what really made me upset was the entire time I could hear the women on the phone yelling back to her supervisor, about the situation, and the supervisor refusing to even talk to me and just yelling that no, she was not going to give me money back, along with other fowl language, as well as the attitude I was receiving. When I asked to speak the owner, they hung up the phone because they thought it be better than dealing with me. Overall, I’m very displeased with how they acted and treated me. Usually, I can get past the rudeness of the girl who is the cashier, but the unwilling to be even semi understanding towards a mistake they made by not being hygienic is something I...

I use to love ticos tacos food, and it was always nostalgic to come in for my order, but within the last year I've become vegan. I thought ticos was great for being able to provide a vegan option, and was charged a specific price every time I got my vegan burrito. But today was different, I was charged much more for a simple 3 Ingredient burrito. When I called and asked if this was a mistake, they told me they've been doing me a favor not charging me the proper price this entire time, and decided to change that today, even tho I've been regularly coming in for my usual order with the average price. Felt like it was an excuse... Either way, very inconsistent. Also kept getting cut off in conversation when trying to explain my confusion. Not worth the trouble and excuses. I could find just as good burritos at other taquerias without the high prices, and in my partners experience, occasional chewy meat. Lastly, most of the staff will be rude/impatient/expressionless with their customer service, unless you're a regular. Everyone I know went in for the food, never the service. But now I Definitely won't be...

So not the same as I remember from San Jose years ago. I came once before Covid... once during covid and today, March 21, 2020. Once again the lady cashiers were rude and they rushed me to order eventhough no one was in line. The food food was just ok... the chile verde plate and the chile verde burrito was filled with so much fat on every piece of pork meat! Yuck! Taquito plate was ok with lots of watered down avocado sauce. The expensive quesadilla that I could have made at home for my baby was ok, but my 15 month old baby didn't even like it! The Nachos were the only thing that was worth the $10 price tag, only because I did like the chicken meat. I also did not like the ladies to get mad and grab my cup for a water refill and an iced tea refill. Wow, those ladies need customer service skills or they should not be working in the front counter. There was no greeting... no "niceness" at all and I have NOTHING GOOD to say about them. Needless to say, probably will not be back for a...

Avoided this place in High School because of all the urban legends but a Buddy from San Jose raved about how there was one up in San Jose that had killer chili relleno. I was in the area so I order some to take back to San Jose for him and some chili Verde burritos, fish tacos and chili Verde plate for me. Boy was I impressed w/ the chili rellano. The chili's where almost 12" long with nice coating all the way to stem. Sauce on it was great. Brought back fond memories for my Buddy. Everything else was great too. Will now visit whenever I'm in the area and Buddy wants a heads up too so he can order more chili rellano.

So nostalgic being here!! The last time I ate at a TICO'S TACOS was before the SJ location burned down! Being here was like stepping through a time portal! The beef taquitos and green sauce were just as I remembered! Delicious and made fresh! Great friendly staff. Fast service. Fresh salsa bar. Seating wasn't "plus-sized" friendly but they had an extra chairs along the back wall that I was able to use to sit outside the booth. Bathroom was clean but didn't have a baby changing station. Otherwise, it was q perfect and memorable experience!
