Kellyn's Kafe — Restaurant in Salisbury

Tried this place for breakfast the food was ok but the problem is the cleanliness. I watched a girl sweep the floor and without washing her hands continued to touch people's drinks and bread with her bare hands. I watched the guy making the donuts go in the bathrooms with his apron on and came back out and continued to make donuts as he is wiping his hands on the same apron. Absolutely gross. I spoke with kellyn to address my concerns she was clearly annoyed like I said something wrong she clearly did not care about my concerns. Kellyn talked to the guy doing the donuts and expressed my concerns and he told her we can just leave. Then she continued to talk to her employees smiling the whole time and then they all started starring at our table smiling. This place is a joke management is terrible and very unconcerned about cleanliness. Maybe the health department can come in and show them a few things on what to do and what not to do when serving people food. You should never go into a bathroom with an apron on and come out with the same apron and return to your work station. You should never touch a broom and dust pan and without washing your hands and start fixing people's food with your bare hands....

My husband and I visited SBY and heading back home today. We wanted to get a good breakfast before traveling. I Googled local restaurants and found Kellyn's Kafe. I was impressed with the menu and the reviews and off we went. It is a small restaurant (which I like). We had a very small wait time. Everyone was so genuinely pleasant and professional. The food is fresh and served quickly. Oh my, the Philly Cheese steak omelet was deliciously amazing. My husband ordered the cream chip beef omelet. He was tickled how it really was real cream chip beef (in comparison to other places he's visited). He was thoroughly impressed. We both devoured our breakfast. I also witnessed the kindness of a staff member. The elderly woman I sat close to was getting ready to leave (I believe she may be a regular visitor). One of the staff member helped her from her table and assisted with putting on her coat. Acts of kindess are rare to see these days so it was a blessing to witness.

Delicious breakfast! We headed into Salisbury from Ocean City but our plans got changed when the Salisbury zoo was delayed in opening. A quick google search showed that Kellyn’s was nearby and highly rated. We stopped in on a whim. The donuts caught our eye immediately. They have tons of flavors to choose from and are super fresh. We saw a lady making more while we were dining. We chose two regular sprinkled donuts for the kids and my husband and I chose the lemon and the sand dollar. The sand dollar donut was SO GOOD. The lemon was tart and delicious. We also got a small breakfast to share. The French toast was honestly some of the best we have ever had. The vanilla flavor was very strong and the bread they use was soft and buttery. We couldn’t be happier to see scrapple on the menu and they cooked it to crispy perfection. We totally loved this place. The staff was very friendly and it was clearly a local/family spot. We will add it to our “must eat at” list when we head down to Ocean City yearly. It is worth the 30...
