Extremely Misleading, Unprofessional and just “hood”!! Nothing Like the Reviews Said

I’m honestly still in shock from my experience at Vanity 612. After reading reviews that described it as a “grown and sexy” lounge with a great DJ, good food, and a mature atmosphere, my friends and I were excited to check it out. The most recent reviews were from about five months ago, which made it seem like a solid option for a night out. Unfortunately, our experience was the complete opposite.

We arrived around 8 PM, even though the lounge was listed as opening at 5 PM. As soon as we pulled up, we were immediately thrown off. There was an old, beat-up car parked directly in front of the entrance steps, practically blocking access. That in itself felt like a safety hazard. A man wearing a Vanity 612 t-shirt stood outside with his arms folded, not greeting anyone, just staring at us, while another tall man stood nearby doing the same. A woman who appeared to be pregnant was also out front, and most bizarrely, there was a young girl—definitely under 8 years old—running in and out of the establishment drinking from a Bojangles cup and doing cartwheels!! Lmbooo Another small child stood next to a car where a man was sitting, also watching everything go down. It was completely confusing and did not reflect the “grown and sexy” vibe that had been promised. There were a couple of cars parked off to the side with people inside, and from what I could tell, they were just as confused as we were—probably trying to figure out if they should go in. Out of curiosity, we left and came back later. When we peeked inside, the same man in the Vanity 612 shirt was sitting at the bar looking angry and unwelcoming. The place was dead silent—no music, no ambiance, nothing. It was completely empty aside from the two workers we had seen earlier. When my friend asked the woman in the corner (the same one we saw earlier who might’ve been pregnant) if they were open, her only response was, “We’re serving food.” No yes, no no—just that. She was extremely rude and dismissive. I honestly question who wrote the positive reviews for this place. Were they fake? Done by family?? Misplaced? This experience was so far removed from what we expected, it almost felt like a joke. I’d really like to know who owns or manages this place and if they’re even reading these reviews, because if they are, something needs to change immediately. Bottom line: This place is not what it claims to be. It’s questionable, misleading, and in my opinion, not safe or welcoming. My friends and I were uncomfortable and confused the entire time. Stay away. This establishment is not legit and does not represent the grown and sexy experience it...
