Domino's Pizza — Restaurant in Salt Lake City

The pizzas are mediocre but the service is pretty awful. Trying to order a pizza from this location is a painful ordeal most of the time, and they get upset that college students don’t do massive tips and it leads to deliveries taking hours at times. Twice from this location out of the 3 times I’ve ordered delivery from it the order has taken more than 2 hours and was cold when I received it, and the driver said that I was “lucky they found the place” the place is a dorm on the university of Utah campus, not really a hard spot to find.

Most of the troubles come from one specific employee who always made assumptions about the delivery, and because their own app is poorly made and not maintained, it causes confusion. The first time I tried ordering I wanted to put the address by selecting my dorm name, but their app only had a building that had a similar name but slightly differently that I didn’t know until after I put the order in, at which point I walked to where the app dropped a pin at for me. An hour and a half later the pizza is still at the same spot in the car and I call this store to get an update, to which I get a call from the driver saying it’s my fault for choosing delivery because it’s 3 minutes out of her way. She then delivered it to the wrong building because she didn’t even put the directions into her phone and assumed she knew where it was cause “she’s delivered for 20 years”. She then just left the pizza unattended for about 10 minutes and tried to say there was nothing she could’ve done better and how I was so rude for asking how I could’ve known any of that would happen by simply using the app as intended.

This one person is the only person that causes issues for my deliveries as anyone else has been either fine or great, and frankly gives this store a bad name unfortunately. Any other dominos location is better pizza...

I ordered 3 pizzas on Monday for my birthday party just before 8pm. They were sitting for a long time in “quality check” and then left the store for delivery at about 8:45. I watched the tracker as the delivery guy never came near my house (which is less than 5 mins from the store), then at about 9:30 it said “order completed.” I called the store and let them know my order was NOT complete, as I had looked everywhere and even checked the neighbors houses. The woman on the phone adamantly told me I was wrong and that the driver did deliver it, and they wouldn’t re-deliver it, I had to come pick it up if I wanted them to remake it. We argued back and forth and then she said she’d call back. Finally she calls back and apologized profusely, saying the driver lied to her and actually didn’t drop it off…my friends had already left to get it so she said she’d remake it and throw in an extra dessert, so from there it took about 30 more minutes before my friends returned with the pizza. So I finally got the order at about 10:45 pm, almost 3 hours after submitting it. And they wouldn’t refund the delivery fee or tip, which was over $15. Horrible experience, pretty much ruined my birthday, and basically stole $15 from me in delivery fees in which a delivery didn’t happen. After the pizza did not arrive at the destinated time I called and was told that it's been sitting under a heat lamp and it could be another 30 minutes or longer he was waiting for a driver. So I requested a new pizza be made because we don't want a old pizza. HE THEN informs me that if I wanted a fresh pizza it would be twice as long. WHAT! wait so I order, pay and my options are a cold pizza or another hour to eat! Great customer service!NOT! Aparentally he is unable to give me his name or his employee number so I can't report him. What a joke! Time is 9:17 on Saturday January 19, 2019. Pizza ordered 8:01. No call to let us know they would not be on time or when they would be able to deliver. No apologies were made for the pizza not arriving on time, no apologies were made for the pizza sitting under a warmer and could still be another 30 minutes before it got to us and he did not want to make us a new pizza and kept saying it would be twice as long this is fabulous service don't you think! That's OK I'll stay with classier pizza joints from now on. Domino's you are off my list if I don't see my money back I'm going to the BBB!! Do NOT order from here. Stick with The Pie they never...
