This is a Mexican take on the Chipotle cafeteria line style of casual dining. The menu is clearly displayed in several places so as to reduce anxiety while waiting in line, their daily specials are also prominently displayed. There were tons of options from which to choose and several ways to customize each. The restaurant appeared relatively clean but I noticed tables not being cleaned after patrons left or for several minutes afterward. Service rates four stars as the associates moved quickly but also chose not to ask about toppings, leaving it to you to initiate a choice of anything past meat and cheese. They also didn't care to expand much about salsas and sauces. Had I been to this establishment a few times, this wouldn't have bothered me but for a first visit, I would have appreciated the information being told to me or posted somewhere. Service was courteous otherwise. My pastor Super Burrito was enormous. It was an entirely different flavor template than Moe's, Chipotle, Qdoba but similar and more two-dimensional. Overall, this was an enormous burrito and fountain drink for fifteen dollars that was good...

💬 OVERVIEW - 4.5 Came here right after my brother-in-law flew in from Argentina, he had never had Mexican food before and we wanted him to experience Mexican dishes.
🗺️ LOCATION - 4 Hacienda Mexican Grill is located (in what I felt) a kind of sketchy part of town. That being said, they are located on the ever busy Redwood Road, which I'm sure brings in lots of customers.
💲 PRICE - 4 The prices seemed reasonable for what we purchased.
🌮🌯 PRODUCT/SERVICE - 5 My brother-in-law had some 🌮 tacos, while my wife and I had 🐓 chicken quesadillas. I also had a grapefruit Jalisco drink 🥤.
💲 POINTERS/PERKS - N/A I'm sure there are pointers and/or perks, what they may be I'm not sure, this was the first time we went, and I don't find myself in Salt Lake that often so probably won't be back.
👩🍳 EMPLOYEES - 5 The cooks were very friendly, (it might have helped that we all spoke spanish). They gave very many...
Read moreSet up like Cafe Rio but when we tried to build a vegan salad it was confusing and they didn’t understand us very well. We weren’t sure if we could have a tortilla in the bottom but finally got one but they don’t have whole wheat ones. Then they put shredded iceberg lettuce in (no nutrients) before I could stop them, then Romaine lettuce, then a small scoop of beans that had very little flavor, and a little rice. We had to ask for pico and they were out of salsa which was a bit too hot. We didn’t realize we should have asked for enchilada or green sauce because it just had no flavor. Had cucumbers which is nice but not authentic is it? Tortillas were fluffy and soft and delicious. Left hungry and disappointed. Same price as Cafe Rio. Salad dressing wasn’t as good as Cafe Rio (needed more jalapeños and lime and...
