Manny's Again — Restaurant in Salt Lake City

Went to meet some friends on a Wednesday night for karaoke, but karaoke was cut short after 90 minutes and its kind of a bummer when people come to sing and all of a sudden there's "something else" going on. Plenty of other nights in the week for not karaoke... Most bar owners know not to try to fix what isn't broken. Some curly haired drunk lady kept going up to the kj and turned the volume down on multiple people MIDSONG. I'm guessing she works there because she had a Manny's hoodie on, but she didnt wear a nametag and she didnt do anything behind the bar. She just kept playing with the mixer like the music was affecting her ears alone, which also affected the vibe. My friends and I were shocked at how this person was acting because at the very least, you should respect people enough not to interrupt their songs, but it happened to one singer in particular multiple times. If youre not Polynesian or gay or both, good luck getting a fair shake at this bar. All inclusive, yeah right. Very rude and very unprofessional. Where's John Taffer when you need him? The KJ was wonderful. Would love to see him doing well outside of this...

This place is really something else, let me tell ya. At first glance you would think that it's just a dive bar. You take a closer look and that's the style of the decor. If you look closely, some of the things are really so rare. What's really rare is what they do for their customers. There are patio games that the owner makes by hand, shade put up so you don't bake in the sun, hand made light fixtures inside that put off a good amount of light, again handmade by the owner. His there once a week doing work on the place. Always working on the little cool details or making something. And there's one more thing. This is really over the top. They tried meal shindigs for the customers. For real! Like customer appreciation BBQs, spreads on the Fourth of July and even a Friendsgiving. WOW. It's a welcoming and comforting feeling it gives you. A feeling like a bar in someone's backyard or a really cool adult clubhouse. It's really rare to find a bar like this one. I really recommend it....

I’m from a small town in Nevada. This bar was pretty close to home as far as country goes. It would have been 5 stars if their clock wasnt 12 minutes ahead and they stopped serving early! Thanks for the good time otherwise.

Update: Two weeks later the clock is now 14 minutes ahead. Valeri was awesome and remembered what I drink. She was rude to other customers but polite to me. Read your reviews, fix your clock, and push tpositive customer service experiences. Otherwise, this place has 5 stars from me. Until then you’re loosing stars from me.
