Super disappointed. I've been going here for over three decades. Now. We haven't been for a while. Of course the prices have doubled and portions gone down (which is ok since they serve you a lot) for no reason other than global opotuniistc greed fueled by a fake pandemic. Anyhow food was ok but the top part of my noodles were overcooked, pasty and stuck together. Underneath we're ok. Something was also off with the fish sauce. Salty with a chemical aftertaste and not as savory as before. Egg rolls, pork and veggies were good and normal. I didn't realize they don't have the sauce on the table like they did for decades before. I asked three times of various folks for the house chili sauce they are known for; both persons bringing our food one of which was the hostess, and our server. I never got the sauce. I'm also pretty sure they went shopping with my card cuz it took as long to get the check as to eat the meal. Place has gone downhill. I'll try again during the week for lunch but I can't recommend them anymore. Also I didn't think it possible but they have packed even more tables into this place. It's super noisy when busy they were busy but wrapping lunch when we were there. Don't remember it being this loud. Also parking lot has always been inadequate but now it's always full with limited...

Considering my boyfriend and I try to eat here weekly, I guess it's safe to say this is one of my favorite places to go. Growing up in southern California, where the diversity in food is abundant, finding this place has been one of my greatest accomplishments.

The service is fantastic. Granted, we've been coming here often enough now that most of the staff recognizes us, but even still...the service is always fab. The only time our food has ever taken a "long time" is when they're just slammed. Otherwise, the food always comes out shortly after we've placed our orders. And they are so accommodating! Whether it's asking for half the noodles in my pho, or extra limes (or onions), they are always happy to make those adjustments for me.

Now for the food--nomnomnomnomnom. I have yet to order something I didn't like, and I don't think it'll happen anytime soon. My #1 go-to is the pho, and this place never disappoints. In the off chance I decide to go for a rice dish, there are quite a few options that have always been delicious. And the best part is after we've finished our meal and the check comes, it's very rarely over $20! Can't beat that.

TL;DR: Place is nomnomnom, go to here, eat pho, happy face, happy belly,...

I have been coming here for years but this is my first review. I was seated against the back wall - perfect for my nature. Out of the way; quiet; and easy to hail a waiter. Service to the table was attentive. The waiter chatted with me and told me the restaurant had been open 27 years. Service gets a 5+.

The food was simply exceptional compared to all other Vietnamese restaurants I have visited lately. I ordered the Lemongrass Chicken over Rice. The sauce was the right thickness, i.e, not runny and not clumpy. Tasted great. The chicken was done perfectly - stir fried, I think. The crisply egg rolls were astonishing. I never had them prepared that way before. My new favorite and something I'll try at home. Food gets a 5+.

I am not a fan of "fast food" restaurants where you have to order from the counter. This place is a classy dining area to say the least. The decor was well done and clean all the way around. Atmosphere gets 5+.

Mi La-Cai Noodle House is now at the top of my Vietnamese Restaurant List. Every other Vietnamese restaurant I've been to has a ways to go to top this place. I...

We came here based on a recommendation from a coworker for a good place in downtown Salt Lake City on the less expensive side. This place did not disappoint! The outside looks kind of rundown, so I’ve never tried it despite having driven by a lot. The inside is quite lovely though, and it was clean, including the bathrooms. We were seated right away, and our waiter was friendly and attentive. We tried the egg rolls and the potstickers. They were both delicious! Perfect level of crispy on both. The egg roll was one of the best I’ve had. I got the beef crispy noodles and my husband got the assorted lo mein. The char siu pork was our favorite. I preferred the lo mein to the crispy noodles. They had a big bowl of fortune cookies by the door. I love that they don’t lock up and be stingy with the fortune cookies like every other Asian restaurant! We will definitely come again!
