While at home I bleached my hair blonde (I’m naturally a dark brown) and eventually dyed it half black and half orange. I went in for them to dye the orange half black.
After many hours they completed it but after I washed my hair it turned brown. I was sad they spent so much time and hard work for it to fade away so quickly. It was also very expensive because they used many different toners to bring me from orange to black (it was only half my head so I’m not sure if it would’ve been the same or more money if it was my whole head). They explained to me it was so that it didn’t turn muddy black but it unfortunately turned muddy brown. It makes sense because the orange just stuck in my hair! They dyed it so many times with warm tones (red/brown) and I think more cool tones (blue) would’ve helped. My coworkers even pointed it out how that half of it is just off.
I also wanted choppy layers with a long mullet. They suggested against it for my hair type and I listened to them. After a month I said f* it and had my roommate cut it and my hair naturally curled with it perfectly. It’s been awhile and now I have a curly grown out mullet that’s half brown and half black haha. I should’ve pushed for the cut more because I ended up doing it anyway at home and loved it :) It was my first time with the stylist and I didn’t come in with freshly washed hair, it was brushed out and poofy so that could be why they suggested against it.
I’ll leave it at 4/5 stars! I’m trying to be very understanding about it all. I thought I’d leave a review because I’m on the hunt for a new hair salon again and thought this may be helpful to...
Read moreHonestly, I struggled to put this review because I don’t think it was done on purpose but my god I’m so upset. I have been here a few times and have gotten my haircut with a few people. I really liked Nikki’s work but when I scheduled she was out of town. So she recommended Katelyn since she’s a level 2 with “more experience.” Anyway, I had been letting my hair grow for a few years and the length was to my butt. I was a little nervous to cut it but I trusted the process. I asked for a bob SHOULDER length. I even showed a picture for reference. Not sure how the misunderstanding happened. She asked if I wanted collarbone length, I said “ I want it shoulder length.” Then proceeded to show the picture to have her visualize what I meant. Specifically said, I want it like this and pointed to the picture. Well I didn’t get a shoulder length it’s way shorter and I simply feel/look horrible. I know not everyone can expect to look like the pictures but I’m upset about the length. I don’t think paying $50 for what I got is worth it being that I didn’t get what I asked for. Sadly, I don’t think I will be back here and be careful you might end up like me. This is the worst haircut I’ve ever gotten and I am so sad and embarrassed tbh. Like how do you even...
Read moreI had an appointment at 11:30, I got there 10 min late, and I was going for a hair cut and dye my hair with some pink highlights, I showed the girl the picture of how I wanted my hair, (the first picture) she asked me if I wanted something more natural and I said yes, something natural, and everything was okay till she said that my hair was gonna be like dark pink and I asked her if it was going to be like red or dark pink because I don't want red and if that's the case, I just can change the color and she said it was going to be like fuchsia, we were almost done and then she said we won't have time to do the haircut cause she was leaving at 3, I didn't say anything cause I got there 10 min late so I was like fine, then she said she had time to style my hair to take pictures, my hair ends up red, not looking natural at all, and halfway done of what I wanted, even if I wasn't 10 min late, I don't think it would make any difference, you should know that doing hair takes time and you should be ready for it. $100 for something completely different from what I wanted and they let me go looking like that (second picture). Overall, the girl was nice and friendly, so I wasn't trying to make her feel bad but she ended up making me feel bad...
