Food = pretty good! Atmosphere and service = not so hot

1st let me say if you are looking at the online images and think they may have a drive-thru like I did, don't be fooled by the menu image that says drive thru on it. They DO NOT have a drive-thru. And the girl at the counter seemed to think that was an odd question to ask a burger joint.

I got the Rising Sun burger and fries and the food was on point. The burger was cooked perfectly, the toppings were perfect, and the fries were delicious.

I pulled in and at first was very confused about the layout because of the beer store \ brewery next door (they have a few really good beers here as well). But once I figured out they didn't have a drive thru and where I needed to park, there was parking available, although not much up front.

Inside the place was dimly lit and the colors and decor (Guy Fieri's face and stamp of approval) actually kind of turned me off. Couple that with the fact that the girl at the counter was difficult to communicate with, didn't greet me, and treated my questions like they were both a total surprise AND a bother to her, and I almost just turned and left and didn't give the food a chance.

I'm glad I stayed for the burger. It was a better than average burger and fries for sure. I don't know that I'll be back very often to this location. I still prefer 5 guys for taste and service, and Bohemian Brewery gets my business when I want to go eat at a brew-pub. But the flavors and toppings they offered were unique and tasty and worth trying. Think if this place as a more convenient food truck. It has all of the convenience of a food truck except they will bring you your order and not just yell at you out a window when it's ready.

You also don't have to hold your food in your lap while you eat because they actually have tables to sit at and the tables are inside so climate controlled. Otherwise; food truck.

I'd describe the food as 5 guys burger and fries with beer and vegan options. Just don't order beer off the menu because it's not correct. Look for the peices of paper taped about, they list what beer is available.

Also if you want a second beer while you wait 35 minutes for your burger you have to go through the line again then go back to your table and wait for them to bring your beer to you.

Granted we did go at 6 pm on a Friday and the kitchen was busy cooking food for the bar next door and preparing all of the take out orders. Just be patient when you arrive because you'll be behind the bar patrons waiting to order and also the phone order customers who have come in to pick-up their food. Made me wonder why they had tables to sit at since ordering in is clearly not the business they are after.

We both ordered the Proper Burger with beef. I had to assure my wife that she wouldn't get food poisoning eating the cold beef patty as it appeared to have been properly, although under, cooked. Probably just got cold waiting for the fries, which could easily have come from 5 guys but they were hot.

I'm guessing the main attraction is that all of their sandwiches come as vegan...

Took my family (3 kids) here and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Creative burgers with bold flavors and something for everyone to be happy.

Onion Rings 🧅: super fresh and so hot I could barely eat them to begin with. Perfect crunch, and the onions were perfectly cooked as well. Came with proper sauce (fry sauce) and that garlic aioli (good, but kinda wished it was ranch :D). 8.5/10

French Fries. 🍟: thin cut, crispy, but soft inside. Well salted. Very tasty. Would be great to have some rosemary garlic, cajun, or other fry options. Basic, fries but well done. 7/10

Flyin Hawaiian Burger 🍍: loved the pineapple with the house pickled jalapeños. Wasn't in love with the la choy crunchy noodles. Could have used a teri sauce or teri BBQ sauce of sorts as well. 7/10

Bacon Proper Burger 🥓: basic bacon cheeseburger, but well executed. The house pickled zucchini are a nice touch. 7/10

Nacho Libre Burger 🇲🇽: probably my favorite burger of all 4. Excellent flavors, and the nacho cheese just feels like home. 9/10

Pork City, UT Burger 🍳: also an excellent burger. The egg was cooked to perfection, which made this burger an excellent choice. 8/10

Reese's and Oreo Shake: wasn't as creamy as I hoped, but the kids enjoyed it and were happy. Decent size shake for the $$. 7/10

Drink selection: soda fountain choices were lacking, but they had other drink options as well which I know they are known for (beer, etc).

Bonus: there was a smallish table for 2 in the bathroom. I guess if you really need to go, but you are hungry, there's an option...
