Finding a good meal and a relaxing drink in an airport can feel like hitting the jackpot, and the Salt Lake Brewing Co. Airport Pub at the Salt Lake City International Airport delivers a "pretty good food" experience with a "wide drink selection." I recently had a layover here and decided to grab dinner. The menu features classic pub fare, and I found the quality to be quite satisfying for an airport establishment. I ordered a burger, and it arrived cooked to my liking with fresh toppings and a decent side of fries. It was hearty and flavorful, a welcome change from typical bland airport food. They also offer a range of other options, from salads to more substantial entrees, catering to various preferences. This is definitely a step up from grabbing a pre-packaged sandwich. What truly impressed me was the "wide drink selection." As a fan of craft beer, I appreciated seeing a good variety of local brews on tap, along with a full bar offering spirits and wines. It is nice to have more than just the standard domestic lagers when you are looking to unwind before a flight. I enjoyed a local IPA that was crisp and refreshing, a perfect accompaniment to my meal. Of course, like any other airport restaurant, you should expect "high prices." My burger and beer, while enjoyable, came with a bill that reflected the premium of dining in a secure terminal. This is a reality of airport dining, and while it stings a little, it is generally balanced by the convenience and the fact that you have limited options. Overall, the Salt Lake Brewing Co. Airport Pub is a solid choice for travelers in SLC. You will find a welcoming atmosphere, satisfying food, and an impressive array of beverages, all while accepting the typical airport pricing. I would certainly visit again on my next trip through...

It’s an airport bar huge space for what it is but it seemed lively so I went in - Service was horrible from the entrance I stood there did not know whether to sit myself or wait. No instructions and the servers just keeps walking passed people there not saying anything - after much waiting I noticed a spot at the bar. So I went there. No greetings from Bartender she cared less I was there - she did clean up for me though atleast - Came of a plane so I’m trying to hydrate I ordered lemon water - she got my water order wrong three times all I wanted to start was water with lemon no ice - ordered the Nachos “Carnitas”seemed decent from the description but honestly was disappointment all around - No flavor from the carnitas at all just soft mushy meat - I was excited because it was power packed with “veggies” however all were canned could taste the lack of freshness in it all from the jalapeños to the black beans all tasted canned so it took away from the food being good just bluh really - ate what I could out of it since I’ve been traveling all day threw the rest away. so I was cleaning up putting stuff in order make it easier for whomever to pick up the same bartender that hasn’t checked on me since she took my order proceeds towards me and asks you want your check!!!

So here we are ! Horrible service would love to rate zero I actually went there to get drinks had long layover wanted to eat first but being directed out of the bar not even how was the food or would you like something else ! yeah I was done - she caught herself from my facial expression and attempted to correct herself but I was...

Honestly, this was the WORST service I’ve ever experienced in my life. Not only was the bartender rude but also he was completely inattentive.. not just to me but to every single group of people sitting there. The couple a few seats down had to literally start yelling to get his attention to which he said “I heard you buy I had to finish what I was doing”... umm what.. 🤦🏽‍♀️

When we first went to sit down he insisted we sit somewhere else because someone was “coming back” for their wine. He did the same to another guy, yet the second an attractive female by herself went to sit there he did not make her move. In fact he greeted her nicer than he had anyone else. And was more attentive to HER than anyone else.

It’s truly a shame. The food was incredible and the drinks were awesome, obviously worth 5 stars. Unfortunately it’s just that we are at an airport so we obviously need attentive service. He never once asked if I needed a drink despite my drink being empty for over 12 minutes. My boyfriend had to flag him down to make him even look over at us and he finally, reluctantly did after literally another minute.. waiting for our check was again the same painful rodeo.

I would only recommend going here if you have a lot of time to spare and don’t mind terrible service. I feel like paying $57 for that experience was a total waste. I would have tipped him less than the full amount but I didn’t want to wait another 10 minutes to flag him...

So, I’ll be honest, I was originally going to leave a very angry review but your server, Michael saved that. HE was legit the only reason I walked away from this with any positive light, whatsoever. He was friendly, speedy, so welcoming and funny. Here’s why I was displeased. You walk up to the place, and there isn’t a hostess. So we wandered through the area and finally were able to ask someone how we get a table. They told us to stick around and wait for one to open up. Okay, so we do. There was a couple at a table clearly getting ready to leave, so my boyfriend went to the table as soon as they left so we could get a table. Another woman had apparently gotten a busser and expected that table to be hers, but didn’t say anything to us, got mad that we had claimed it and wandered off. Okay, I’m sorry random person, but if it’s first come first serve, we got there first and weren’t aggressive about it. First come, first serve is fine - in a normal environment. But in the post-COVID world we’re now living in, with no bar service and every other table open, how do you not have a hostess seating tables?? To get a table, you still have to walk through a crowded seating area with a lot of people, clearly not social distancing and then you run into someone like that. That interaction and the “find a table and wait for it” attitude totally ruined my first impression of this place. But again, Michael made the experience recoverable.
