Tuscan Bistro by Soni's — Restaurant in Salt Lake City

I have no words to say right now. My boyfriend and I decided to have brunch before we have to check out. There was only 1 party eating and it would be more convenient for us since we have to check out by noon. Seated us pretty quickly (reckon there wasn’t anyone else). Now I wish I was looking at the reviews first before ordering the god damn pizza. I ordered the stuffed mushroom as an appetizer and the supreme pizza while my bf ordered a medium NY steak. He enjoyed his food but I only enjoyed the mushrooms. Once I got the pizza, I’m telling you, if you are lactose intolerant, I would recommend to stay away. I wish I could submit a video of how much cheese they put and they put it in the middle which made it very VERY soggy. As I was lifting the pizza, the pointy edge piece, all of it was flimsy and the entire toppings came off. I literally had to use my knife and fork to scoop the toppings back onto the pizza. I was very disappointment. Other than the pizza, the stuffed mushrooms was really good. As I enjoyed that more than the pizza honestly. The steak was actually really soft and I enjoyed that hella a lot more. The mashed potatoes was good, had little small chunks in there which I didn’t mind. This place was an okay place. Probably the worst meal I’ve had in many years. I ordered the chicken pot pie. Basically, the pie filling was put in the bottom of the to-go container and a fried tortilla laid over the top of it. Not even close to a pot pie. We also ordered loaded French fries. You get more fries in a small McDonald’s fry than were given to us, and this was a “Full” order not the “half” order. I will say the server was very friendly and the service was great, but they only get 1 star because great service doesn’t outweigh bad food! What upsets me is we decided since this restaurant provided room service we chose to stay in for dinner. Very disappointed!! Of course I ordered room service and prepaid the tip. This place was beautiful. We were staying at the hotel across the street and decided to walk over.

The place was empty. Lights on but no help. After about 10 minutes my husband walked over to the front desk and the guy walked back over to the kitchen area.

A lady walked out about 5 minutes later with a very annoyed look on her face. Neither of them acknowledged us or apologized for the wait or their next steps.

We were left sitting there for another 10 minutes (20 minutes total now).

They attempted to call someone on speaker phone to try and figure out how to place orders on the register.

This went on for another 5 plus minutes. Still no acknowledgement or apologies.

So unprofessional. We ended up walking out. They didn't bother to stop us or apologize. They watched us walk out. Would not recommend this place. Awful...
