We’ve been fortunate to dine all over the world — from Tokyo to Paris to Napa — and yet, our meal at Kuro Nami was, without question, tied for first for the very best we’ve ever had. This was our 24th anniversary, and it could not have been more perfect in every possible way.

The food? Flawless. Every bite of sushi crafted by Rebecca was pure art — delicate, precise, and deeply thoughtful. Truly world-class.

The service? Equally flawless. Alice was the perfect host — warm, gracious, and making us feel at home while still elevating the experience to something unforgettable. Josie guided us seamlessly through the menu, recommending the perfect dishes and sake pairings to create a transcendent meal.

We don’t hand out superlatives lightly, but this was 100 out of 100. No notes, no missed steps — just perfection from start to finish.

Delicious sushi with creative rolls and outstanding service!

We went here for my mom’s birthday with a group of 6 and my 1.5 year old. I was thrilled to be able to make reservations. When we sat I was nervous my daughter was too young given the restaurant’s cool date night ambiance, but everyone who helped us was so wonderful with her even given her a special plate and chopsticks keeping her entertained. They also gave as a free dessert and took a cute Polaroid for us to remember the birthday.

More importantly we tried 7 rolls and appetizers and every dish was fresh and delicious. We were so impressed!

They are doing everything right here and I am soo happy there is finally good sushi in San Anselmo and I don’t need to fight for a spot at Village Sake. We will...
